Saints Row remains the best character creator for just making Nolan North a voice option. Which I promptly used.

or Yuri Lowenthal if they’re feelin a bit spicy.

Its cringe’y only to someone who's choice this gen is to get a ps5

It was cringe-y, not because anyone should care about giant corporate brands taking swipes at one another on social media, but because of how much it reeked of desperation to manufacture something like the infamous

It was Xbox UK. Literally one community manager running one social media account made a joke and was forced to delete it. Why is everybody acting like Microsoft made this part of their official marketing strategy?

it’s been nearly two years why are you still so boring

Considering the number of people shitting their pants at the cost of the external seagate expansions apparently no this info is not as well known as it should be. Glad we got a clarification for those that have not seen this info.

Sure but those people all left because of how bad the former management was. Microsoft now has a clearly better trajectory, so at best you could speculate about whether that’s enough to retain the people this time around - it’s certainly not valid to use Rare as an example of why it’s a foregone conclusion that

This is an impressive word salad you’ve got going on here.

You should check out the digital foundry video about the Xbox, its very much designed from the ground up around airflow.

A couple notes that I think this article really should have brought up:

Weird little spike around Apr 12th, 2019...wonder what that was all about...

I would consider sounding like a jet engine a cooling issue. My PS4 Pro is comically loud but thankfully I almost always game with headphones.

Count yourself among the lucky ones. I lost my launch 360 to the RRoD, because of course I did. My launch 60gig PS3 — read: best PS3, RIP — caught the YLoD, which while not as prevalent as the RRoD, was a bigger issue than people realize. Had that repaired, but it happened again. The thermal paste was just not having

If you look there at the side of the PS4, you’ll understand why I feel like consoles really should be looking more like mini PCs than they do. I’m not a Microsoft guy, but goddamn if this big ass pillar isn’t a breath of fresh air after 15 years of losing consoles to cooling issues.

Nearly every game that ships for Xbox Series X will ship for PC as well so the games already have to be scalable. Scaling to the GPU and VRAM is the most straightforward kind of scaling. If they have the same CPU and can assume things like the same disk and ram speeds etc, I don’t think this will be an issue.

I just want to point out this isn’t the 1993, when our parents had a habit of calling everything that played a video game a Nintendo. We’re the parents now. People looking to snatch up launch consoles for their kids in 2020 are probably pretty familiar with gaming, and tech in general.

Wait... So their new argument is that all-powerful Apple is hindering their own ability to become all-powerful?

So Epic wants to use Apple to expand their reach, but doesn’t want to actually compensate Apple for it.

Ugh. I just went from “not really caring because Fortnite is dumb, but thinking it’d be interesting if Epic won against Apple” to “hoping Epic suffocates from having its head so far up its own ass.
