A lot of this sounds pretty typical of prototype and pre-production vehicles, modifications of current vehicles to design and test components before entering production. Chopping up an existing chassis does, in fact, make that new chassis a _-derived one at that.

And I will happily gobble up those quotes because I mark out for anything and everything Group B lol

Pole vault.

The problem with the new trilogy is that each film is a craven apology for the preceding installment. Rather than desperately trying to course correct midflight, they should have sat down and sketched out a three-film epilogue to the story told in the six previous movies (because even the prequels, god help them,

Basically they don’t let facts get in the way of a good agenda.

No, they don’t see Ridley as the enemy. But they’re far less concerned with being fair to her than they’re interested in lashing out against those they do consider their enemies (priority #2), and in propping up their own egos (priority #1). The headline, as you observe, serves their ego (priority #1), the article

Zombie AV Club Newswire writer priorities:

Sam, you do know that Ridley was basically driven off social media after The Force Awakens premiered due to constant harassment, right? Like, it’s kind of a weird flex to suggest she’s unaware of how toxic the fanbase can be. My guess is she was trying to be as diplomatic as possible under the circumstances.

I was surprised to see this article but not disappointed and I found the viewpoints given here interesting. Part of that though is I serve on Tech Team at my local church and we were streaming long before the pandemic hit so in that regard when the stay at home mandates were laid down here in Michigan we at least were

Two primary reasons I can think of why they do not embrace digital. 1.) Their congregation is older and unlikely to embrace it, 2.) internet tends to be shoddy in most rural areas.

That right there is a much hotter take.

You know, as a pastor navigating this in a rural church context, I found this very affirming and encouraging. It is easy for us to get a little silo-ed in situations like this, so hearing about the experiences of others stepping into this space was lovely. Thanks Riley. I appreciate this and you.

1. The question is not disingenuous at all. Thoughts are thoughts. Actions are actions. The consequence of an action is just that. I think society is far better off having religious people in it than not because the majority of religious people are good people. You obviously disagree, you just don’t have to be an

So thoughts are now dangerous? What if I feel like your thoughts are dangerous? Why do you get to decide what are “fairy tales”? And why do you feel the need to tell people how they should/should not spend their money?

Church that has been a primarily in-person affair for thousands of years and now, instantaneously, across basically all faiths and denominations, converted to live-streaming online. Like video games.

It is indeed very weird seeing this article on Kotaku.

Well written article Riley, I very much enjoyed reading it. Pleasantly surprised to see this in Kotaku. The Transition has been difficult and seems to make the community aspect so much more difficult. Let us remember those in countries like China, where they already can’t meet openly.

I’m kinda taking the chance to see new and different services. I streamed an Eastern Orthodox service recently despite never having been Orthodox. I’ve never seen anything like it. Positively beautiful in its elegance.

It’s so great to see what other churches are doing. I work for a Unitarian Universalist church in Oregon, and our services have now been online for a month. I’m the Religious Exploration person, so I’m usually in charge of Sunday school activities, so I had to figure out how to transition Sunday school into an online
