Part-time worker means something different in Japan than in the US, as you know. Most jobs that are not considered skilled/professional fall under アルバイト (alubaito, part-time) distinction, even when employees work full-time hours.

So why would someone who so obviously hated the predecessor be pegged to review the followup?

Weird, as Nintendo portables historically seem to hold a charge indefinitely - whether shut off or in sleep mode. But maybe this has to do with wifi or some other network issue - long the biggest weakness in Nintendo’s design (treating third-parties like ass notwithstanding).  

I imagine the increased heartrate from the stress of the situation affected how long he thought he could stay under. 

In game dev, keeping things in the code/on the disc are often safer than removing them. It’s an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” situation.

Man, I can relate to this. A 41-year-old who didn’t do much in LA and the stunt community, and a former indie pro-wrestler, I’m now a working actor in Tokyo. Lots of unprofessional, inexperienced people here - even getting bookings due to the look-based casting - and I’m trying to hold it down and lead by example.

Sounds like a real mystery on their hands. If only some detective could get on the case and solve things...
