I have a work laptop that I also take home, which has a "home" profile installed on it.

Would this work across profiles? I have a "work" profile and a "home" profile, but sometimes when I am browsing at home I come across a link that I want to bookmark on my work profile or vice versa. I know, I can copy and paste addresses and what not, but if this does the trick it would be quite interesting.
I think I'm stealing your lab idea... ;)
Hooray for physics teachers! :)
That would be a great script to show and tell!
What about Android tablets? My son was given a somewhat non-descript Android tablet for his birthday (10), and I am wondering whether there is anything I can improve by rooting, either for him, or for me monitoring what he does on it / preventing him from misusing it.
So, well, let's bomb it!
Pedant's corner: the report you quote is not from some sort of weirdly-spelled website called "Ecnonomia", but from the business section of El PaĆs, Spain's most important newspaper.
I teach high school physics in an international school. I kind of hope I am someone's favourite teacher... :)
Excellent, glad it worked for you!
Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but... have you tried a cloud bookmarking service such as Diigo? You can tag articles (they don't even have to be blog posts from a feed) and then create an rss feed for a particular tag. The old delicious used to do that too, but we know how that ended up...
You know those families that only have one child, and then have a pair of twins?
That was indeed an interesting article... are there similar tips (especially on the add-ons section) for those of us who have to use Microsoft Outlook?
My biggest problem with the new Maps is that location does not seem to work on the desktop. I am used to start with the map centered at my current location, or at least press the little circle and have it find me. I see no obvious way to do this with the new layout - am I missing anything?
Absolutely in love with 8tracks too - I really like finding one of those 100-track-long playlists and keep it going for hours...
I use Diigo for my bookmarks, and I tag new bookmarks with a few keywords. My initial list started in delicious, and got migrated to Diigo a few years ago. Does anyone know if there is a "bookmark checker" like the ones people have mentioned for Chrome and Firefox, that would work on a cloud bookmarking service?
That is quite impressive. Could you share pics / specs of this rig?
Hopefully my ZX Spectrum 48k that I got when I was nine qualifies as a computer... :)
I wonder if Mr. Quincy Jones would approve of being called "Quicky"... I also wonder how Whitson trains his auto-correct :)
I live in Switzerland. Not safe enough. Try Pyongyang :)
