If you want to get the updated version of the database, you'll want to use their API. Here's the documentation for it. If you're not familiar with APIs then this might not be super useful, but my bet is that if you get in touch with them they'll just refer you to the API anyway.

Obviously the whole thing is misleading. Nothing about this data is "Incontrivertible". It was organized by two journalists not two statisticians or economists.
Even if they were all included, and I'm assuming they all fail the Bechdel test, they wouldn't raise that total much above $3B, still well below the total of the movies that passed.
But that's his point. Video games don't have to be a hybrid art. Right now, cutscenes are basically movies tacked onto the game for exposition. But that presumes that the story has to be linear, or can only have a limited number of branches.
