I wish I had seen this earlier! As a real life sword fighter (non-competitive) I will tell you now that keyboard and mouse or controller will not capture this. Something like the Wii or Playstation Move, where you hold something and movements are read would be better for capturing the reality, but the tech needs much

Ummm, the times now sort of represent the time cycle properly on most servers. I usually join when they are around 16:00 to 18:00 and enjoy the long shadows of sunset. So look for that, plus a low player population for the server. Those mean dark, usually.

I am going to pull on my Homestar hoodie and go revel in the bliss of an update. Too bad I don't have any marshmallows or melon aid. Yes I am dropping references to prove I'm an actual fan, live with it. ;)

The robot in the second last picture is one I have seen before, and still my favourite, both of things I have seen from Eddie on the Concept Ship sites and here. It must be the face painted on it. That just makes it have this weird silliness I really like.

I love the idea of the new design that, if scaled up, would look human. But it shouldn't have a personal name. This new doll should have a brand, a name for the line, but let the kids who play with the doll name it. Foster the creativity. Go a step beyond the realistic proportions and let the kids create the atory for

I still prefer Regular Ordinary Swedish Mealtime, much funnier, and it's in swenglish! That's what needs to make a comeback.

It's all about Latin. Sinister, left, dexter, right, so a few left handed people do something bad, sinister becomes evil, left handed people are in the minority, people make a few "if you're not right, you're wrong" jokes and away we go. That's the 25 cent version of the story, anyway.

Pommel strikes! Armour or not, the impact should still stun the opponent. Nasty business, especially with a half-sword mordshlag if you can manage an opening for it.

Promo needs more WMA, that is, western martial arts.

As my good friend Mr. Kinjo from Okinawa (and successful owner of several popular Japanese restaurants where I live) shared with me, sushi is just fine to be eaten by hand. It can be done while playing chess and other games. One hand to move the pieces, one hand to eat the sushi. Chopsticks are for when you have dirty

I live in this nice, if somewhat cold place called Calgary, and for ten (or more) days every year, people go nuts with free pancake breakfasts. It is called Stampede. While I am not a fan of country music, cowboy boots or being drunk by 11 a.m. (Sorry hometown, I have seen it too often over the years), I have learned

It made me want burritos, but, I do not relate to competitive eating. I like to enjoy food, taste it. Just chowing down, it seems pointless. Plus, I'd have a moral crisis. Someone else is hungry out there, and I over eat?Nah, can't do it.

You could shop Mac into a cup noodle costume, make his opponent Mr. Freeze or Jack Frost or some snow themed character, and you take a mascot shovelling snow and give it the power to defeat bad weather! Just an idea, should you have time and inclination.

I do like that Kotaku posts about DayZ since it is one of the few video games I try to play (but lately I can't get my frames to go past 12 a second even with reduced settings so, break time I suppose).
For the record, though, just because I want to be that girl today, DayZ Mythbusters existed for the mod version and

Most of those weren't actual things that were wrong, they were just opinions from someone. Things like the back flip, windows breaking, lack of explosions, sure, grat problems to catch, but it's telling a story. The bad guys need to fail, the hero needs to regain his humanity and win, thus, the script is what it is.

A lot of small details of Standalone really pull you into the world. More details, like it's not an outfit, it's now clothing, you can mix and match. Inventory is different, eating and drinking are more important, you need a way to open some cans, you can craft a few things and more of that will be put in...plus it

You can go lightning hunting, but you need an airship to do it. Either the book or the movie version of Stardust will explain how. Lorewise perks up as she sees the dirigible fooat overhead and she runs to the aerodrome to catch a ride and resume the quest. :)

Journalism seems like a scary business these days, both from personal risk and job security viewpoints. You have my respect and a can of beans.

DayZ embedded war reporter, that eould be cool. There is a press vest, but... it is going to end up being a "shoot me in the head and steal my press vest" signal unless all of the players understand the concept before logging in.
