I will buy this for my iPad so I can play anywhere and everywhere. I don't need a Blackguard or Wild Mage to enjoy the game, though additional voices and portraits are useful. I suppose I can't fully immerse myself in the game world. Maybe that's it. I don't see it's survival instincts, I still see it as people sitting at computers, and some getting their kicks by intimidating others. Maybe I'll get past it.

That's very true. Which is why I won't fault the game or players for it. They're having fun, and power to them! I have enough hoops to jump through in the real world, and then those from game designers, so yeah.

I only used fifty years because it mimicked the length of time I estimated for the power source development. Writer's choice, because 110 total is not as poetic as 100 total. There's a nicer feel with using milestone numbers. :)

I am confident that in fifty years we'll have power sources capable of moving vessels at half light speeds, and thus in another fifty years after that our generation ships will have been there and already sent a message back home to let us know it's not inhabitable and thus don't send any care packages.
