@Joscelin: I saw the documentary on that and they couldn't identify the ground features as being a confirmed Chinese settlement. Shame, really. History needs debunking and rebuilding to keep it exciting. :)

Oh and we can talk about the Brendan Voyage as well. Proved to be possible, but no evidence that I know of to say an Irish monk actually made it 400 years before the Vikings.

I've always said that Canada should have a Viking day to match the American Columbus day. It would be like St. pat's day, but with more rampaging about. :)

Better, as in I might see myself wearing as a Halloween costume if I wanted to be an established super heroine. But bare neck and shoulders, they could add something like a golden torc, even if that is Celtic and not in keeping with the Greek mythos.

@polle404: Thanks! I love that movie. Of course Ustinov steals the show for me but it's fun all around... "Runner..."

So implanting these can mean, an LED crystal in your palm, and when you're young it glows brighter and when you get old it fades and changes color...

Who are we to deny so much history, then? Raise a pint and celebrate the genius of our ancestors.

@RoboBagins: Nonono next our homes all look like part of a jungle and when the aliens look to invade they think our planet is barely inhabited and they ignore us because we don't look all that interesting.

"Sire, The peasants are revolting!"

Outstanding, I'm helping the human cause. And we all know that we humans need all the help we can get! And yes, we need warm toes. :)

I know I've seen a documentary that detailed how people came from a European launch point, using boats to sail along the edge of an ice age mass bridging Europe and North America. So this means there's more proof for the theory than there was before? Of course that documentary seemed to indicate that some people came

Meh, I don't generally care what politicians want anyway, but if we have a surplus of aliens and need to keep people warm, have at it. I am a humanist, I suppose. Wiping out the aliens should help the human cause, right? :)

I thought it was making them for aliens, I mean, far from home, lonely, maybe cold in a crashed tin can of a space ship...but making it out of aliens, hey I guess there'd be a market for it at conventions and all across Nevada and New Mexico!

If it can be done it would be a great help to any private company trying to win that prize for putting a probe on the moon. What is it, has to arrive, move around, and send back signals? Anyone who can make a proper GIS map would be a big help in making sure the craft landed in one piece :) I have no idea about trying

Here's the link.

Wow, that's a pretty badly battered surface. And it's only signal dark, right? Is that why they called it the dark side? I mean when we have a new moon, the so called dark side is light.

Being a geek, being caught up in fandom, used to be something special, and every now and then, someone dared to take our favourite stories and make a movie. But now, everything is becoming a movie and the charm really is being lost.

So the miners and quarrymen would have been dosed and the elite would have been hiding from the sun and powdering themselves as pale as possible. I suppose with the DNA repair process, there's more danger in the past from the lead plates and weird makeup ingredients than the radiating DNA munching particles.

Has anyone done a study on the increase of exposure over the past two thousand years or so? I know we can't get accurate measurements, but it would be interesting to have a guess as to what would be around during the Roman Empire, or in Medieval Germany, or Feudal Japan, or... and then the Industrial revolution and

I think I remember watching the Deathstalker movies in those University days. But all the cheese kind of mixed together, like a nice blend on a tasty pizza. In a way I am glad that the movies look a bit better for props these days, but how sad, many of the plots are just as stretched out from some soft mozzarella as
