Arguably the game IS collectibles. And I mean that in a good way, I’m loving the game so far.

I wouldn’t go quite that far, but they have their moments for sure! The game is just fantastic so far.

I think there will always be a vocal contingent of jerks, but honestly I don’t really see that much of it? Maybe just don’t go to the parts of the internet where people are getting really mad about this stuff? It’s worked for me.

Have you tried not being foolish? I’m sorry for the snark but you are really tempting fate here.

I agree, but there’s a happy medium there. You can announce a game a few months before release instead of several years. Right now we know of zero first-party Nintendo games releasing for the next five months. As far as we know, Nintendo is done releasing games for 2020. So Nintendo is doing the opposite of what you

I do hope the sequel has at least eight traditional-style dungeons with more unique bosses, except that it’s fine if you don’t find a progression item in them. I like the open world though, despite not enjoying that in many other games.

I agree with some of what you’re saying, but man I really loved Breath of the Wild. The world is pretty well packed with stuff to find, and the times I felt like I was just running around were pretty rare. Certainly there’s room for improvement in the sequel.

Counterpoint: Having things to look forward to gives people hope, even when those things are just some cool video games. This complete dearth of “hype” is really a dearth of news that could very easily indicate a dearth of actual games. There’s no real silver lining here that I can see.

I’m surprised it’s taken this long. Who thought this branding was a good idea in the first place?

I mean, I don’t hate this song, but I don’t think it’s going to stick in my head. It’s…fine?

So it’s only 10 minutes long, there’s no info on first-party games, and no new games will be announced. One the one hand, at least they’re setting expectations this time. On the other hand, they sure know how to disappoint.

What I ended up doing is ordering it from GameStop’s website (two months ago, my question here was for future game orders). I was surprised when it came a day late. That’s not a huge deal, but I imagine if they want their online store to compete with Amazon, they should be shipping these games so they’ll arrive on

I would like to support my local businesses. I don’t know if I want to support them enough to get coronavirus, though.

So help me out here, internet. Is shopping at GameStop worse than shopping on Amazon? And what would you consider the best alternative to either?

I think that happened a lot more gradually. Obviously there’s no time for gradual half-measures with a pandemic, though damn if that’s stopping the US from trying them.

Are we still pretending that maintaining 6 feet of distance from each other in an enclosed area is going to prevent the spread of coronavirus, even with masks? I think there’s enough evidence at this point that it lingers in the air and accumulates in indoor areas. If they could somehow hold class outside, I’d

A new Shantae comes out about every 4 years. Shantae ports on the Switch are coming out about every 6 months, I’ll give you that.

Man, I came to this realization about the Mega Man Zero series after buying the collection for Switch. I played the first few games to death on the GBA, but they are not well-designed for exactly that reason: the screen is so zoomed in that you can’t see what’s coming until it’s too late. Enemies can see you long

This only works if the battles actually are fun. I guess we’ll see how that pans out this time.

You could buy a second Switch dock. Oh that’s right, nobody sells them anymore.
