I would not call it a new Smash character “announcement” until we have an actual character announced and a trailer. It’s hard to get excited about “a character from this game” when there’s no gameplay shown, especially if you don’t know anything about that game.

Well there are millions of people in the country. Odds are there plenty of young conservative idiots. I’m betting they’re an extremely vocal minority.

But isn’t the demographic that would mostly die off from this the one they most need for continued electoral success?

Luckily for you, it’s going to be a lot longer than two weeks.

I don’t think any of this will matter. His supporters will blame the pandemic instead of him, and gerrymandering will do the rest.

That makes no sense to me. Anybody working on this stuff could leak tons of secret information at any time, even if they can’t leak art or screenshots. If you can’t trust the people you’ve hired, you have bigger problems.

That’s why I’m a bit optimistic. On the whole, people are taking it much more seriously now.

I think that would save lives in the short run, possibly at the expense of more lives lost later to climate change.

Maybe in some COVID-19 epicenters this will happen, but I’d be surprised to see GameStops closing nationwide unless and until things get much worse. I just went to one today to preorder Trials of Mana, in fact. Granted I put down $20 on it rather than $5 so that I wouldn’t have to handle possibly contaminated change…

I wonder how much it would actually cost to include PS1, PS2, and PS3 chips in the PS5. Maybe too much considering the potentially low target market for such a feature.

Good point! I think what happened was, I heard this was the case for XBox and somehow conflated the two, which is weird since I’ve never owned any Microsoft console but do own all of Sony’s except the PS4 (which I skipped in large part due to lack of backwards compatibility).

Huh, I was under the impression that PS5 would be compatible with PS1, PS2, and PS3 games out of the box. Guess I won’t be buying a PS5 anytime soon after all. Thanks for saving me some money, Kotaku!

I hope you’re right, but didn’t they make a big deal of it being a PlayStation exclusive?

But remember there were identical rumors about February. The rumor was: Animal Cross Direct on the 20th, general Nintendo Direct on the 27th. The first part of that rumor came true as well.

I also remember the rumor in February of a general Direct the week after the Animal Crossing one. That didn’t happen and I’m not buying this rumor yet.

I think I’d be pretty excited about this if we’d already had a general Direct for this to supplement. I play a lot of indie games on the Switch. But the wait for a general Direct has been so long that this just feels too little.

You realize that non-narcissists can be disagreeable, right?

I’m trying to understand here. Let’s pretend there is no Bernie, but instead a hypothetical presidential candidate that was running not for themselves, but to try to fix the problems with our country. How would that look different? What would that candidate be doing to show that what they really care about is the

It’s all about the horse race for you, isn’t it? Do you engage with policies at all? Because more and more, those matter.

I wish the planet could afford 4 years of “righting the ship” and not instituting sweeping structural changes. Sadly it doesn’t look like it can. But hey, if you don’t have kids, maybe that’s not a big deal for you.
