After the upgrade to Treasure Trove, new players who did not own the game will have to purchase previous campaigns separately. The game’s price will also be increasing an unspecified amount in the Spring. If the restructuring seems confusing, that’s because it kind of is.

Man, a lot of Power Grid fans here. I played a fair amount of Power Grid in college, and a few times since. I have played enough Power Grid for one life, though. It just doesn’t have enough variety to hold my interest.

It’s like Teddy Roosevelt always said: “Shout incomprehensibly and get us all nuked to hell.”

It would have to be a game to be “free to play”. I acknowledge that it remains “free to do”.

You jest, but I can’t fault Nintendo for not selling Virtual Console games that require a custom controller and an impossible-to-find adapter.

We haven’t seen them on the WiiU because the WiiU controllers don’t have pressure-sensitive trigger buttons, which are necessary for e.g. Super Mario Sunshine and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Kotaku, why do you keep bumping this article? This is at least the third time it’s been on the front page of the site. Elmo sucks, we get it.

I am a programmer, and they should have taken the time to remove this code and then fix any resulting bugs.

So they fully created this feature, but then decided to scrap it for some reason. That’s totally legit. Not taking this stuff out in order to make the file smaller for folks who download the game is a real dick move, though.

The dungeons are remarkably well-designed, but most of the sidequests are simple and boring.

Kotaku, you know how you’re always telling folks not to preorder games? I have a related request for you. Please stop announcing other companies’ announcments of future announcements. “We will announce something at this date in the future” isn’t really news. It’ll be news once the info is actually revealed! And I

Ha ha! “Nintendo relies too much on gimmicks.” But now that they’re making a more traditional system, it “lacks a killer feature”. What a joke.

The Switch’s battery life may be a mystery, but I think it’s pretty obvious it doesn’t have a touchscreen. And that it won’t be backwards compatible with Wii U, Wii, or GameCube games (no optical drive). Certainly they’ll have virtual console options for NES, SNES, N64, etc.

So, why was the Switch trailer parading Splatoon as its lead esports title?

Splatoon for the WiiU requires two screens (for super jumping), so this has to be new.

Man, I thought they’d fixed that for this version. That’s a shame.

Say, this quadruped must be somehow related to this other quadruped, because it has four legs and…that’s it, actually.

Why is he chasing those ghosts, rather than the other way around? They sure don’t look blue to me.

Hmm, a “traditional” Link amiibo that doesn’t have an ugly column holding it up. I might have to pick that up come December. Or maybe I’ll just wait for the Breath of the Wild amiibos instead. Hmm…

Hmm, somehow I doubt putting off revealing info is going to cause it to fail. If anything, I think it’s a bad idea to start hyping something too early, such that people lose interest by the time it’s released (e.g. Mighty No. 9).
