It's parodies of currently popular pop songs (Gotye, Taylor swift, Psy) with the lyrics changed to talk about the holidays (ex: open eggnog style instead of oppa gangnam style. No little drummer boy or other traditional christmas songs :)

I still hate the sound of fireworks. And thunder. And canons. My ears never got quite used to that type of noise. I'll still go out to watch the displays, but only with noise-canceling headphones covering my ears and some loud tunes blaring.

Yup, in Montreal people are mostly bilingual. Can't really find a job here if you don't know English. However, if you get out of Montreal, many only speak french. Every time I show recent pics of the hanson bros to my friends, they are absolutely astonished to see how attractive these guys have grown up to be. Plus they seem really cool and down to earth.
