LandofMinos: ...sent down to strike the unroadworthy!

My mate used to be an Australian army driving instructor. He taught people to drive Unimogs and Army Macks. He used to keep a small stick that he'd crack over the knuckles of any student (including superior officers) if they ever used the gear stick as a hand rest. He says the gear stick is for changing gears. If your

Driving position in a BA has been maligned by the motoring media as being too high. That you feel like you're sitting on the car rather than in it. Ford addressed this issue with the FG, but some say not enough. Beside position, how do you find the cushions and support?

G'Day Mark,

The special edition of the E46 M3 is not alone in the army of automatic-only cars. Even Porsche is telling us to get over it as double-clutch automatics are simply more efficient than our left foot and right hand. Or left, in case you're driving on the wrong side.

Thanks for the reply mate. I'm glad you have mind to take the popular news services with a grain of salt.

Here's a GT version of the Aussie version (XW). They look tough. Underneath, these Falcons are basically a stretched Mustang platform.

Seeing them on the road today, in any condition makes my day. At least twice a week, I see an old plumber still getting about in his 253 HJ Panel van.

The closest thing to a two door version of this body is the Canadian Falcon...

Hi Soyoure... Australia here.

How do you find the shifter? A lot of Aussies are putting short throw billet shifter kits in their manual VE Commodores because they find the standard item is not up to scratch compared to fancy European cars.

Come to think of it... What is a bad VW?

When I was 12 I fixed the starter motor in my step mother's Datsun 200B. I was a little car knowledgeable freak from an early age. We went on a drive to Jambaroo Recreation Park south of Sydney but when we got there, the place was closed. So we decided to drive out but the car wouldn't start.

Banned from driving for life!

The Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore. For their seats alone!

As a former 1971 Superbeetle owner, I highly endorse this post!

Poor kid. I wonder if the school bully gets his own robot that steals his lunch?

I hope Koenigsegg can sort out any issues before they go bankrupt. It'd be sad to see them go. It's also sad that they let down a good customer who possesses a good source of PR and goodwill towards the company.

As proud Australian, I like to say; New Zealand is the best fucking country on this planet!

I don't the demographic in America, but I'm starting to see a pattern of fuckwits who drive FJ Cruisers in Australia. It doesn't surprise me to see an FJ sitting 2 feet off the arse of a car in front or cutting people up and other general fuckwittedness.

My thoughts are with his family and especially his poor father who witnessed the accident.
