My dad had a 1966 Barracuda. He bought it second hand, it had originally belonged to a doctor’s wife. It was a big 6, automatic, gorgeous pale aqua colour with black interior. He took one look at it at the dealer, whipped out his checkbook and bought it for $,1200. That was in 1973. I learned to drive on this car, and

I don’t mind that it’s under-appreciated. Just means there are always more for the rest of us who can’t get enough of it. If some folks want to drive overpowered, garish, and generally hideously expensive cars, that’s fine. They deserve each other : ))

Isetta! Originally an "ice-box" manufacturer who decided cars were more fun.

Up here in Canada, we have a women's hockey team who've whooped ass at the Olympics since 2002. That year, they won gold. The men's hockey team were told to "play like girls." They won. In fact, our women's hockey team has won gold at every Olympics in this century.

Thank you, Travis. This is exactly why I have a blog called drivelikeagirl.ca. I used to have a bumper sticker that said "I drive like a girl" on my MX-3. My dad's 1966 Barracuda had the coolest tell tales ever - I thought they looked like tiny bat-ears, perched on the hood. Everything about that car was magnificent. Nothing else has ever come close.

And this is exactly why I have a blog called drivelikeagirl.ca, which looks at cars from a woman's point of view. Today, a major car manufacturer rejected my request to review a car on my blog, because - and I quote - "we can’t fully support that idea as we don’t provide cars for stories designed for one specific

We had a whole posse of Plymouth vehicles, from a 1963 Valiant to a 1966 Barracuda (a classic beauty) and a 1966 Plymouth Fury (my first car). Others included a 1964 and 1966 Valiants. Cried the night my dad sold the Barracuda - it lives on in effigy in my livingroom today and is responsible for my dubious career

Call me a chick but I looove the MX5 - it's an affordable, stylish ride that's way too much fun. Check out my blog http://idrivelikeagirl.blogspot.ca/2012/08/mazda-mx5-miata-follows-la-contessa-home.html
