This was it, this was the time she could have just been like, You know what? Yep that’s me, here you go. She has a clothing brand that she routinely shows women of all sizes and shapes on the website....talks about how normal it is to not be perfect. The feedback she was getting on that photo was great. And she looked… Read more
I have no issues with filters and nice lighting. What Kardjenners are doing is DISTORTING their bodies into blow up doll and alien territories.
I’m waiting for someone to point out where in the original photo she looks like she isn’t fit? Her stomach is flat, her ribs are slightly showing, and she has a clearly defined waist. What the fuck is even wrong with that photo? I find it bizarre. It looks just like what she’s showing on instagram, except from a front… Read more
Unlike many commenters here, I typically have patience with the Kardashian family. They just don’t get under my skin much. But this shit is beyond the pale to me for some reason. I guess I hit my cap. The idea of a 37 yo woman hopping on Instagram live to “prove” her body actually looks a certain way is INSANE to me.…
If she said she didn’t want to have sex, and he continued, how is that not sexual assault?
With most celebs, even several that I consider myself a fan of, I give a lot of credit to the team around them. But you see how quickly Lil Nas X personally responds to every tweet with consistent hilarity and points being made and you know that he is the architect of this. Fucking genius, really.
The areligious population is growing. Would be nice if we could actually build a political voting bloc that could go up against Pence/Noem. But, White atheist dude bros like Bill Maher/Joe Rogan/Dawkins ruined atheism with the misogyny, racism, islamophobia, transphobia and the general assholery.
Dunno about any of my atheist sisters and brothers out here, but shit like this is always hilarious to me. Up until a fanatic like Pence or Noem start pushing laws.
I’ve always firmly believed that if your faith is easily threatened by a moment in pop culture, then your faith was never a strong faith to begin with.
Lil Nas X knew this would happen. They’re playing right into his hands, and he’s clearly having the time of his life making fun of them, then relaxing while watching the seventh figure of his bank account climb.
This is conservatives writ large. They oppose social programs and then enjoy the benefits to society that such programs provide without acknowledging where those benefits are coming from . They “vote no and take the dough,” as Pelosi so eloquently put it.
Nothing more manly than relying on the rest of the community to do the heavy lifting for you.
I think it’s an inevitable byproduct of all activist movements. You’re going to get a lot of very vocal people with strong personalities and a lot of energy and ambition. That’s a good thing because those people excel at being public figures and appearing in the media and all of that. And it’s also a bad thing because… Read more
God that’s sad. I can feel the pain, hurt and betrayal in her voice. And the clout chasing thing has been an issue for awhile with BLM. I remember back during the Ferguson protests, professional trauma grifters like DeRay McKesson and others descended on the town and took up a HUGE amount of space, oxygen and media… Read more
thanks for this — you’ve touched on something that generally goes unsaid in “the dialogue” about Black Lives Matter, and movements like it — it’s not really configured to support giving people defined leadership roles. nobody can speak for everybody who has a stake in the fight. and yet within that larger fight,… Read more
It’s called “kettling”. Its a tactic that seems more designed to cause panic and disorder in the protestor ranks and to give the Police a psychological advantage over the people. We saw it being used here in the UK throughout the 80s and 90s.
The prime minister of the uk has promised to look into the case. Which gives me no confidence, as his attitude to women is utterly misogynistic. The plain fact is, the police lashed out because one of their own got caught.
This “tactic” of surrounding or cornering groups of peaceful protestors seems to be one of the main ways police escalate situations. We saw it all through the BLM protests, the same has been going on in Myanmar with the protests against the coup there and now yet another example. Read more
