You and me both! So glad to know I'm not the only one.

Merilla and Matthew were siblings, so here's hoping they had another sibling who ran off and joined the circus and got with a sideshow girl. Otherwise, ew.

Kaley Cuoco's dress looks like it's going to inject me with venom. It's like a spider and a Transformer and Brak had a genetically engineered baby.

Does this mean she can't be president?

I see your point, although I don't think the meat industry is seriously in any danger. Americans generally love their meat, and that ain't changin'.

Ha! I go back to the drawing board on a daily basis. I propose we all just meet there and drink wine.

If I just run around calling random people narcissistic for no reason, yeah, they probably won't like it. But I didn't call anyone narcissistic. I said it is narcissistic to think that the meat industry cares that much about them. That's not the same as calling a person narcissistic. You're presenting a false

I'm not trying to be rude, but since when do you speak for most people?

One guy, he named his pomeranian after a French city and then wouldn't shut up about how he had just ordered two Dickens novels and he was just so excited and he couldn't decide which one he was going to read first. He also liked to sigh and dreamily say things like, "Feminism is so sexy." I never knew if I should

I've not heard of this organization. I'll have to read up on it.

Saying that something is narcissistic isn't uncivil. It's not an insult. It's my opinion, to which I am entitled. If I has said vegans are fucking narcissistic twats, that would be uncivil and an insult. (I don't think that, btw.)

This. Observation bias. So this. Thank you.

It's extremely narcissistic to think that the meat industry would go to this kind of trouble just for them. Vegans are not that important to the meat industry. The meat industry is not in danger of collapsing because of veganism or vegan activism. Laura is really giving the meat industry way too much credit here.

I am not a fan of the Jezebel brand of satire, if that's what this is. The writers here have so often exhibited a lack of self-awareness that it becomes difficult to tell when they're attempting satire.

Jezebel publishes a lot of useless articles.

I don't know. I'm not certain that Jezzie writers are the most self-aware bunch.

You say the site perpetuates the stereotype of the preachy vegan, but your first speculation point sounds a little preachy. Pot, kettle?

I used to live in Asheville. It's the only place I lived in NC, so it's really my only point of reference for the state. I'm just confused every time I hear about the wackadoo rest of it.

My issue isn't so much with the study as it is with Jezebel implying that even suggesting men and women have differences is sexist. Jez does this all the time. They take some study, one which may or may not have merit, and call it sexist just because the results suggest men and women might have differences. Of course

Just because we can't separate whether men and women's differences are biological or social in origin doesn't mean we should dismiss it whenever someone suggests those differences are there. There are some differences. Merely suggesting some might exist is not sexist in and of itself. My observations indicate that men
