I think you are mistaking media coverage and "visibility" with what the people actually want.
If the majority of citizens of the state didn't want it, they wouldn't have voted it in effect.

IMO it depends on what you want to do and when you entered the workforce.
If you want to do something in a field that requires talent over education, a degree isn't necessarily necessary. However if you want to enter a specialized workforce without a lot of experience, it'll be hard to start with a high paying job.…

I completely agree. My favorite pair of earbuds retail for $20, but cost $6 on Amazon. But a little bit of research does go a long way.

Most of my jobs didn't have brief written descriptions. I've had to rephrase and re-write my job descriptions for my resume. (Even when it was brief, it never covered ALL of the important stuff.)
So I'm guessing your answer was "that person didn't copy/paste their resume, but did copy/paste HR's description."
