Just on Tuesday I had an amazing grilled cauliflower dish for a fancy office “going away lunch” for a coworker. Rainbow cauli slabs, grilled to a light char, with za’atar, zhug and some kind of citrus (maybe sour orange?), with steamed green beans and mint, and a generous amount of good olive oil over all of it. Indians know how to do up some cauliflower.

If only she had paid attention during her self-defense lessons.

“And when attending large events, the Queen’s plate is chosen at random with the logic that if someone did want to poison her, they would have to poison all the plates of all in attendance.”

Jazz in the 1950s had a pretty bad survival rate too. Not coincidentally, heroin was pretty common in that scene too.

Oh no :(. Mark Lanegan was a real one, damn. Since we had an Oasis piece last night, enjoy this bit from Lanegan’s memoir showing his “love” for Liam Gallagher.

I always hate this mentality that shows in the past were just oh so much edgier or whatever and are impossible in today’s current climate or something.

Well, the last President seemingly had no issue with inviting people to the Capitol Building to visit Congress.

“....In the mean time thank you to Congress for inviting me to the White House …⁣”
