I mean, the assholes are already spreading their shit everywhere. The world needs a butt plug, and STAT.
A small piece of evidence that the moral arc of the universe bends toward justice? (I know, I know.)
I was wondering if she was perimenopasual myself.
Yeah, my take on that based on the actors’ performance is that Jaime acknowledges Tryion’s absolutely correct in calling him out on his BS.
Well, and you could still say a lot about how her love as a mother rounds out Cersei’s character without this Schrodinger’s pregnancy.
I kind of feel like she might be the only major character aside from Jon that D&D understand much. They turned Tyrion, who has “always had a weakness for cripples, bastards, and broken things” into a major asshole last episode regarding Brienne. You can’t blame it on the drink: he knows exactly what he’s doing, and…
Tyrion’s like a more self-aware Jorah with a better sense of humor in this matter.
Another show that had so much promise and some awesome women characters who get both literally and narratively screwed.
There’s also Qyburn. I can’t imagine Cersei would stay pregnant if she didn’t want to.
And to be fair, no one planned the battle of Winterfell alone: anyone who had any real power to influence their strategy sucked.
Jaime obviously knows better than anyone else exactly how awful Cersei is; he’s always known
And remember: Cersei clocked Brienne’s feelings for Jaime as soon as they returned from Harrenhal. After what she did to Septa Shame, I can only imagine what she’d do to Brienne if she got a hold of her.
The only (BAD) reason I can think that they got Jaime and Brienne together like this is it was in Martin’s master plan—Jaime begets (another) bastard on Brienne who ran away from her primary duty as sole heir of Tarth: to provide an heir. The child will then be legitimized, but she will have to raise him alone.…
I don’t think Sansa ever really trusted or at least cared about Jaime. She tolerated him for the sake of Brienne, whom I also don’t think she really trusts but sees as very useful and having her as her sworn shield has provided her political expedience a few times. It makes sense that she would get in whatever digs…
I have found it absolutely fascinating just how different some of the character takes out there are from mine—and I don’t mean that sarcastically. Sometimes I think I’m watching/reading another series than some people.
And to be fair, I don’t think we’ve seen Qyburn be stupid yet.
And that they prioritized money for VFX over good writing and epic battles over character time are absolutely their decisions as show runners. Don’t get me wrong: the battles are epic, but when I rewatch the series, will I care about them after that first go-round? Nope. I’m going to rewatch for the character moments.
