It always befuddles me how a certain set of people will always look at the worker as the problem? I don’t go out to eat so that I can do a manager’s job for them and judge/rate/pay their staff. I do it for the food and the company of whomever I’ve decided to go eat with. Maybe if I’m doing the equivalent of employee

Of course US tipping culture sucks, but it’s what’s in place right now, and not participating in it isn’t an interesting intellectual exercise or protest, it just makes you look like a prick.

Morality and legality are two separate things. Are you really an adult in 2019 and don’t understand this? Apologies if you’re actually 14.

If you can’t afford to tip 20% then you can’t afford to eat out.

But we currently inhabit the world where servers and other folks are not paid a decent wage, so...tip.

Nadine saying that she couldn’t put her “plus-size” model in a bold print made me want to die.

They’ve recently reduced their shipping rates from $29 to $7, which is less than I pay in tolls to get there, so I only go if I need to pick out unwarped wood stuff.

Guys, you’re doing IKEA all wrong. Shop online, put everything on your shopping list, input your store, print. You now have the location of everything you want/need. When you get there, eyes forward, game face on.

Oh trust me, he has that kind of money

Nope. That “only” cost him $70 million. If the figures in the rest of the article and comments are correct, he’d still have a whole $780 million left.

thank you for bravely standing up for what’s right!!!!!!!!!!

This is what misgynoir looks like in hip hop. Black male artists will absolutely use Black women’s bodies, labor and skills to advance their careers- and if one of them asks questions about behavior or has any criticism, Black women are abused or shoved to the side.

WHEW she looks like Kris in that pic.

Came here to say exactly that. But I feel like all the women who were falling over themselves to praise Straight outta Compton and who were ok with the movie ignoring Dre’s treatment of Barnes and women in general (coughAvaDuVernaycough), should pitch in as well.

Dr. Dre has a net worth of $850 million, according to the Google elves. Maybe now would be a good time for him to donate some money to her or set up a fundraising effort on her behalf.

!!!!Don’t you come for my Queer Eye Boys!!!!

Ditto. I was super annoyed at Tom & Lorenzo’s critique of what Aidy Bryant wore to the premiere - it is really not easy for plus sized women to find clothing, clothing that fits, and clothing in proportions or shapes other than large, long, baggy (esp blazers).  Aidy likely has money to have things made for her

I was so sad to discover that. I loved basically every look, even though a few were too short for me personally, but I would snatch up that collection if it was made for real.

I loved it, and I wanted several of Annie’s kindergarten-teacher dresses. Even though they probably don’t exist and were made from scratch by the costume dept. (yes, I’ve read at least two articles about it.)

I was so...proud when I watched it. Which is a bit silly, I know, but it felt like an old friend was finally getting her due. It's a show to be proud of.
