You're right that it's a big deal in this "climate of religious extremism" to have a religious figurehead come out so stridently in support of science.

I would probably be the same! ZOMG.
...Is your mother deceased?

In situations like that, always remember the "PrtSc" button! ;)
His looks could be pertinent to a discussion of how approachable he seemed to his victims, but I agree that this is bordering on grotesque.
Seriously. What the fuck! I am not a humorless person by any stretch of the imagination - and god knows, there are serious points to be made here about, for example, how his good looks may have made him more easily able to attract victims - but for fucks sake this?!
THIS.
Absolutely. WTF, Jezebel? What the actual fuck?
This reminds me of an excellent piece I read ages ago in GQ, of all places - about what it is like to have a show filmed in ones' house.

Katherine Heigl was ungracious and impolitic in her comments, but she was also completely correct. Also, the writing basically never recovered; and has never been as good - or, as spot on - as those first two or three seasons of Greys (which are hallowed in my TV fandom for being damn near perfect).
Dodai... I am simply so upset you're leaving. It feels like the end of an era. When I finally got out of the greys there was one post of mine that you "recommended" and I took a screen-shot of my notifications page, I was so stoked.
The entire site seems like clickbait only these days. I'm so disappointed in the direction.
Which is fine. That part I don't object to; I wish more networks today would think like that. What I took issue with is that you drew a line straight from the introduction of the female characters to a "softening" of the series which I don't think is correct, and is somewhat regressive.
I think the whole thing was badly executed; there was no need to induce Olivia's PTSD because of a rape threat to her personally (we've also seen Olivia threatened this way before, when she was undercover in a prison?) and virtually the exact same plot could have been executed with some sensitivity to modus operandi an…
At its outset, the original Law & Order was a very male show; the first women in the main cast didn't show up until Season 3, when Jill Hennessy's Claire Kincaid and S. Epatha Merkerson's Anita Van Buren were brought on board. The no-nonsense feel of that series' earliest episodes in particular reflected that male…
The women-only (by accident) Girls-discussing PCHH episode is just so wonderful. I wanted to make everyone a Martini and hang out with them.
SERIOUSLY? FFS.
Can we also talk about the language he uses to describe the victim in his book? As in, the tone of "oh, hey, I didn't realise I was punching a chick, cuz she was stocky with a crew cut."
o_O ?
I was once thrown into the street by a mentally ill person - in the path of oncoming traffic - and the four or five people walking on the street near me all just stood and watched as I jumped out of the way and attempted to brush myself off (the guy, who when it happened was walking towards me and just spontaneously…
