That's actually the least convincing argument I've heard against this. Clearly, Little Mac in the pink suit is a different character, since we've seen a picture of him and the regular Little Mac together.

I'd argue because she's "not just a different outfit". She has her own voice clip and unique taunts. But is so similiar to Marth she's "just a skin"

The trailer was for Robin. The trailer is only available on Robin's page. Again, she's called a Newcomer on her specific page because she's new to Smash Bros.

She's never been in Smash Bros before. So she's new to Smash Bros. Pit has a ton of new moves, he's basically a new character. But he's not a Newcomer. Zero Suit Samus is an entirely new character, but she's not a Newcomer.

They've said they're removing clones. Additionally, if she really was a Newcomer ala Robin or Pacman, her box on the character select screen would be a Newcomer box, not a returning fighter box. She has her own character page because they want to show her off.

It's a box. It's not a large "NEWCOMER!" page like the other newcomers. Therefor, I'm saying she's a skin for Marth.
