We did the Red Bull Soapbox race here in Atlanta last year. I'm pretty sure I cracked my tailbone during our run. Hurt to sit for a couple of months afterward. He's lucky that he didn't bust his ass on his run. That jump looked brutal.

I live just south of Akron, the Spirit of Goodyear flies over the house on a regular basis. I'll see more of it with 'Football Hall of Fame' stuff starting this week.
You, my friend, know your $hit
Alright. I'll give you that.
FINALLY. Another person here on Jalopnik that sees that NASCAR is a sanctioning body. It's not a car, its a rule making body that encompasses the US oval racing scene with full bodied cars that appear stock. Calling it a "NASCAR" drives me up the wall.
Love the site. But it's not a NASCAR. It would be a NASCAR sprint cup series stock car. Or even just call it a NASCAR stock car. Or a stock car.
I thought from the photo the answer would be "anywhere Steven Wallace is racing."
Two things came immediately to mind reading this eulogy:
1) Ken Jennings' TED talk about the "obsolete know-it-all." His thesis is basically that because we have so much information at our finger tips now, knowing something has unfortunately and mistakenly become obsolete.

Based on pictures I've seen of Jason this year his device of choice is called the R3 which is a HANS & Hutchinson hybrid device and is actually safer then just the regular HANS. However based on those same pictures Jason did not run a leftside headrest, and for those that know the anatomy of Sprintcars you know that…
is the hans device mandated in the league he was running? if not was he wearing one anyway?
If you want more thrill head to Cedar Point.

What timing, I just spent a better part of my evening reading on the history of automotive franchise.
Some have speculated that the knucklehead was actually aiming for AJ DeLaGarza on LA but, being drunk and stupid, squarely nailed George John. NBC Sports Network, being neither drunk nor stupid, was able to isolate footage of the moron doing his thing and he'll get to have a visit with a judge to discuss his poor life…
He was throwing it at AJ De La Garza, a LA Galaxy player, and missed.
After the game was over NBCSports showed another angle and actually got the bottle thrower on camera.
