We did the Red Bull Soapbox race here in Atlanta last year. I'm pretty sure I cracked my tailbone during our run. Hurt to sit for a couple of months afterward. He's lucky that he didn't bust his ass on his run. That jump looked brutal.

I live just south of Akron, the Spirit of Goodyear flies over the house on a regular basis. I'll see more of it with 'Football Hall of Fame' stuff starting this week.

You, my friend, know your $hit

Alright. I'll give you that.

FINALLY. Another person here on Jalopnik that sees that NASCAR is a sanctioning body. It's not a car, its a rule making body that encompasses the US oval racing scene with full bodied cars that appear stock. Calling it a "NASCAR" drives me up the wall.

Love the site. But it's not a NASCAR. It would be a NASCAR sprint cup series stock car. Or even just call it a NASCAR stock car. Or a stock car.

I thought from the photo the answer would be "anywhere Steven Wallace is racing."

Two things came immediately to mind reading this eulogy:

1) Ken Jennings' TED talk about the "obsolete know-it-all." His thesis is basically that because we have so much information at our finger tips now, knowing something has unfortunately and mistakenly become obsolete.

u know what man that was just highly interesting to read. i honestly didnt know about what LaJoie was doing or this renewed effort at short tracks. i think its a great thing even if its only for sales. it cant hurt to push this safety tech. i think tho if these companies do well enough in illustrating to drivers how

Based on pictures I've seen of Jason this year his device of choice is called the R3 which is a HANS & Hutchinson hybrid device and is actually safer then just the regular HANS. However based on those same pictures Jason did not run a leftside headrest, and for those that know the anatomy of Sprintcars you know that

is the hans device mandated in the league he was running? if not was he wearing one anyway?

I am disappointed in a some of you.

Agreed. Could have given credit, linked to the channel, mentioned Banger Week (an entire week of The SlowMo Guys blowing stuff up), or any number of other things. Shoutout to Gavin and #DanTheMan though, for making awesome slow motion content.

Just a thought, but you give no credit to the slow mo guys, and the video starts after their introduction, it would probably be good to at least acknowledge them somewhere.

What timing, I just spent a better part of my evening reading on the history of automotive franchise.

Robby Gordon's Stadium SUPER Trucks

He was throwing it at AJ De La Garza, a LA Galaxy player, and missed.
