Problem A: The car jump was way too close to the stands to be hitting it from that direction at that speed.

Problem B: It sounds like the throttle hung.

Problem C: Usuaully they ring the "area" with shipping containers or block off the first few rows. That's how they do it here.

Rest in peace...

With $500,000 on the line at the end of the season. Yea that $200,000 could be worth it. Has been so far for MacCachren, haha.

Dusty, you think they end up racing that "one more race" or do you think they will just start focusing on next year?

Vegas maybe?

Yea it's part of their rule package. Somebody has to be over the wall with an extinguisher ready.

Yea it was originally a one-off opportunity at Long Beach, then they got the chance to do two races in Toronto with IndyCar.

After Long Beach, they ended up incorporating some asphalt sections and metal ramps into their stadium course designs, which had been all dirt the first couple races.

Their YouTube channel has all of their previous races, I believe...and they have at least two more TV airings. They have not aired Crandon (two races) or Sand Sports Super Show (three races) events yet.

I believe they were part of the ticket for both Long Beach and Indy, but I may be wrong. Usually they race at their own stand-alone events with Trophy Karts, Super Buggies, and sometimes Bigfoot Monster Trucks, and I think they were typically $15-$25 a ticket an event.

And I do think that if somebody brought a sponsor to the race, or bought in, they weren't going to get turned away, haha.

I think one could call it a "customer series" because I think you had to buy in to get a truck to race with. then the series would randomly hand out the trucks each week.

If you look at the point standings, 26 drivers have run a race in the 13 events that have run. 15 drivers ran at least five events. After the St. Louis event, they cancelled a lot of events and scheduled new ones due to logisticial issues. They had spaced events too close together, which prevented them from

Well I think they will keep things as a hybrid next season. The Stadium Trucks have a heritage of beating and banging out in football stadiums, and I think they will continue to do that. The Indy race weekends help give them awareness, which I think is the biggest issue they have faced. They started the season in

Awesome, I think that's my first Hat Tip on Jalopnik! Thanks!

According to the broadcast they may try to do four asphalt races next year. Looking forward to see how it all shakes out.

Now playing

In case you missed the broadcast, Robby Gordon's Stadium Super trucks has posted the NBC Sports Network video of their Two in T.O. races during the Toronto Indy race weekend.

Well the road course was built for extra revenue. It's pretty boring too.

Mulhern always reports that changes are being discussed...but really no major movement happens. I would not be surprised if Homestead is no longer the final race, but that's really it.

Yes they do! Along with Michigan, they get great international crowds. I would assume Watkins Glen does too, but I don't know that for certain.

Hard to make Loudon easier to pass on. If I remember correctly, before they completely repaved the surface and re-profiled the turns (yea, it used to be even flatter than it

I mentioned the agreements, and the thought excites me, just not sure if it will happen yet or not. We may see soon with the Nationwide schedules...

The problem has been turn-around, or at least until recently. It used to take weeks for Indy to switch from Oval to Road configuration. But when NASCAR started their

you and a lot of other people. I think the problem was that they "got lost" in all the other events that happen in SoCal when it came to promoting the races. Where as Sears Point/Sonoma always seems to do well, Cali just couldn't.

My guess...you were asking people to drive out into an industrial complex area and sit

Back when ratings spiked the answer was to get into the big markets. Chicagoland got a race, California got a second race (and the Labor Day race, but the Western 500 didn't sound great). Then the ratings declined and suddenly that second California date wasn't so hot.

There are a lot of rumors about date changes, and then nothing happens. So we will have to see.

Hah, no worries! It's more fun to imagine than discuss the "same as always" Cup Schedule. I mean, I'm sure I could post pages about New Hampshire wanting to run a night race next year (yawn).

I think if you added Atlanta to the "double date" list you'd have a lot of supporters. But ever since they had their tornado,
