It's too bad they don't do this in Akron anymore.

TRD motors have been torn down by NASCAR as part of the normal post-race tech procedure this season. I think SiriusXM said that 5-6-7 other TRD engines have been teched by NASCAR this season, and this is the first to fail. TRD's director came out today and said that they don't check the connecting rods from the…
Two whole cars are taken each weekend (the winner's and a random car from the field) for further inspection, and then two engines are pulled and teched as well. Granted, NASCAR has the right to pull as many cars as they want back to the NASCAR Technical Center for inspection.
Dropping sponsorship of the Celeb/Pro race or the Grand Prix completely?
Guess one could watch Sports car racing all night with this at 4:30 and the ALMS race at 7:15
Yea that's all they do. If you have a cable/satellite subscription, usually you get access to ESPN3.
To fix my own error...this is being shown Sunday following the NHL Blackhawk/Blues game.
Wouldn't have to worry about space...Belle Isle could host the entire competition...
That was ALMS at Baltimore
This must be what they were filming a couple weeks before the season...I think you guys even mentioned something about it in the Jeff Gordon/Hendrick Motorsports "Harlem Shake" video. The concept is still funny though, even if it is staged.
Just an FYI...Nationwide race is on ESPN2, not Speed.

They ended up having to do three standing starts total. After they cleaned up Ricky Taylor's flip, they had another car stall and the grid and get clipped. Video has spoilers, in case you are waiting for the SPEED condensed coverage next week.
It will be at COTA, dates have been announced and tickets are on sale.
They ban a lot more than amphetamines. I forget what exactly is on the actual list, but it includes all major drug and PED categories, plus it checks for alcohol or sleep medication used within 12 hours of the race. Among other things.
The Camping World Truck Series is running at Iowa tonight, i believe. That would be on Speed. Also, it's not going to be on TV (yet) but Global Rallycross is also at New Hampshire, following (or prior to) the Nationwide race.
