My dad had his "fun" cars before I was born - a BMW 2002 and a Fiat 124 Coupe. From the time I was born until we moved to the US when I was 8, he had two V8 powered Ford sedans.

@Alfisted: I bet this car has rubber band tires that give it a rough ride over expansion joints.
@Neener: +1
@VetteWrecker: Nope, engine was the same as your standard Mustang. No special cam, pistons, exhaust, etc.
@Scandinavian Flick: Glad I'm not the only one, see two posts below.
Seems like this turned into a coolest police car contest rather than the coolest paint job. The vehicle the paint is applied to shouldn't be a factor, but whatever.
While they were ugly, the green/white "Duffy" painted San Diego Co. Sheriff's Dept. cars hold a fold memory for me, because the first time I came to visit the US about 24 years ago, my parents took me there because I wanted to see an American police car and one of the officers there was happy to oblige.
If anyone here is feeling the urge to buy one of these, I just so happen to have a '97 Crown Vic Interceptor for sale. Not as comfy ride, but hey, you can run over curbs and your friends can puke all over the floor without worry.
@gla2yyz: I was about to say the same thing.
The lifted Ford guys around here are a bit different... "Are you going to Glamis this weekend, brah? Yeah man I'm gonna go jump Oldsmobile hill. Do you like my tats?"
@CABEZAGRANDE: Yeah, I was about to defend the M-II front end but you already did. It's a common conversion on old hot rods but I have to wonder if it'd be any better than the stock Capri front end.
@ZeroOrDie: That's true, who knows what other corners were cut.
@Graverobber: Or even an 8.8". If he got the 7.5" from a Ranger, chances are good he could get an entire identical 8.8" rear end since they were offered in the Ranger too.
@ZeroOrDie: The T5 would hold up for a while as long as you're not power shifting it. The 7.5" rear.... not so much.
All that work and a 7.5" rear end? Don't ever do a burn out in that thing unless you want the ring and pinion to end up in 351 pieces.
Don McClean just breathed a sign of relief because "levrolet" makes no damn sense.
Wow, there are a lot of stoners here. Ganjalopnik!
Dude!
