@f0rge: I somewhat agree. I actually pulled out the rear quarter panel on my E30 in a similar manner, using tie down straps attached to the back of my truck, but I put a heavy blanket over the straps so that if they broke, they wouldn't fly up and hit anything.

@gessvt: Alright, you just passed the test ;) Yeah, I know of a few LTS models still out there, but due to the fact that they were only sold north of the border, not many are left in good shape.

The Ford LTD LX was the only Fox-body LTD sold to the public with a V8 engine. It was manufactured in mid 1984 and 1985 only. The idea for the car was provided by Bob Bondurant's Mustang powered trainer cars at his driving school that some Ford execs drove in 1983. 3260 were produced.

It's rather funny to me to see just how nice E30s can be when I just got finished riveting metal onto mine, then slapping on Bondo and roller painting it with Rustoleum last weekend.
