It's certainly an improvement over the old 911 ragtops.

Because nobody, least of all Porsche 911 owners, can be bothered to do anything as pedestrian as removing a roof panel anymore.

I've done a quick sketch of what I think the production version would look like.

I don't see what all of the fuss is about concerning the automatic. It'd be one thing if it was replacing the manual, but it's just another option.

No DCT:

No sign of a clutch pedal....

God...that sound brings back memories of racing my Team Losi JRX-Pro SE back in high school.

Really?

Keep your atheism to yourself...just as you want christians to keep their prayers to themselves.

That is a terrible development, though I did have Richard Hammonds crash in the back of my mind when I first read about this. Apparently he was lucid and even insisting, fruitlessly, on doing a bit to camera before getting shuttled off to hospital.

That's just heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family.

Well it's done for safety and speed - stripped of the excess chassis, the car is much lighter and faster but the tube frame keeps its shape better in impact. To start with, Porsche prides itself on making performance cars. They make it a point to develop 911s on tracks and make them track-capable machines, even if

I'll probably get flamed for this, but i've grown to greatly respect GM's old 3800 V6. My dad had an old Bonneville, and that thing ran like a champ. Decently powerful, loads of torque, and it was unbelievably reliable. (The same can't be said about many other parts of that car… the fuel pump in particular.) And

Nah. Ferrari Fire jokes are the low flaming fruit on actual Ferrari Fire post. Although, Elon Musk was spotted driving by the scene laughing. Not totally sure what kind of car he was in, but I'm pretty sure it was a Lambo Dude. Also this guy probably swerved for a pelican, and if he had been driving an E30 M3 this
