I reread the Mustang excerpt, It states "if the vehicle is intended for track use, and the loss of warranty coverage isn't of concern, the following durability modifications are required."

A simple person confuses complexity for sophistication, a sophisticated person makes complication simple.

I really admire GM for building the ZL1 to handle anything it's owners might subject it to under any circumstances, but how can GM say the ZL1 is "track ready" without addressing the Camaro's airbag problem?

With HP and Tq numbers this high, its better have a fluid coupling rather than an on/off switch. This isn't unprecedented, years ago while Porsche offered a torque converter based auto, the tiptronic 911 turbo was quicker than the standard manual.

Before clutch interlocks I used to use the starter motor to move non-running project cars back into the garage.

Seems like a thoughtful feature, of course keyless entry kinda makes it redundant.

I had exactly the same idea, you could take it a step further and use an iPad/tablet PC to make it easier to manipulate while driving.

Does anyone else remember reading a childrens' book about a rag-tag group of youngsters who entered and nearly won an endurance race with a gas/steel-spring hybrid? The book looked like it was already twenty years old when I read it as a child in the eighties. I remember thinking "Wow, I bet when I grow up all the

Excuse me but isn't the point of doing a burnout is to break the rules and be a rebel?

I imagine you may not be acutely aware as as the others, you might be twelve years old for example. Your love of cars may have manifested its'self after you had success as a hairdresser or having been a painter, however artistic.

Do you know, you could have spent a lot more (like 40k more) and put a pumped up the Nissan motor in that car and got whole bunch more, nerds...... not just any nerds, Datsun nerds. You'd have dude-ass from yesterday to every other Thursday for the rest of your life. You'd be the king of HP/Liter.

I feel the failure of this show is not the fault of any one of the presenters (maybe its John Salley's), any one of them has more talent than the TGUSA's presenters, but with the force behind the show was Adam Corolla. It is no secret that Adam so badly wanted to be a part of TGUSA, that when it was decided he

What vehicle/engine combo does your sleepermobile consist of?

Cool, I think the future of drag racing is hot-rod trucks. They come with V8s and live axles, a recipe for a drag strip terror.

Agreed, see my comment above.

I like it but the pic doesn't show much of the engine, for all I can tell, this could be a V6 with an MSD ignition.

I'd like this truck more if it had an exhaust that exited at the stock location with nondescript tips, that would have completed the sleeper look.

"Alpha-Moparo" I lol'd. I can see this phrase catching on.

I'd love to see a small, bare bones, cheap as possible RWD V8 coupe. Nova?

This may have been more effective than "restricted area" "public not allowed".
