I have to endure MyFord Touch on my Fiesta 2014, luckily I got for "free"... I would have never paid for it. Now, the question is: will my Touch be updated? I doubt it.
I got 4+ years from Windows laptop too. As long you buy for "long term". If you only invest 300-400$ in a PC, don't expect it to last 5 years. For example, Dell make very good "business series" that last long.

A year ago a bought a Transformer Prime with 32gb of storage space (was the minimum) and I never used it. Just got the 16gb Nexus 10 to replace it.
It really depends on your usage. The sole reason I now root my devices is to install AdFree (hosts file replacement that removes most of the ads in websites and games/apps).
I blame Apple, because they pretend their system is BETTER and it's far from perfect. Apple is more and more pretending and not delivering. Think about it... ;)

This camera does not record pictures as "pixels", it records "rays of light", it's totally different. This technology have a lot of potential in mid-long term. Maybe, in 10 years we will all have cameras based on this technology. Theorically, you can't "miss" a shot, the camera captures lights rays instead of color…

I think the Android share intents is the most under-evaluated feature of the Android platform. This "share with... anything you can imagine" is so awesome.
I agree with you. As a user, I don't want more data clutter. I want tools to minimize this clutter, by grouping, tagging, merging, etc...
Chrome syncs with all my devices. And frankly, most of the time I don't open the browser. Most of my mobile time is spent in apps, not in the browser.
