Looked like terrain profile to me.

I think F-14s were the last US fighters to wear shark teeth.

The U-2 is still an effective tactical reconnaissance platform. Need intel over there right now? Send a U-2. Want battlefield surveillance and reconnaissance for a whole day or even a week? Task 2 Global Hawks for around the clock cover.

This sounds....heavy. Wouldn't all this additional weight have a massive effect on max altitude and range?

Also airspeed, to prevent compressor stalls at supersonic speeds. F-14s have internal ramps that do the same thing which is why out of all the "Teen" series fighters, those two are the only ones with Mach 2+ speeds. The F-16 and F/A-18 both have static intakes that have relatively narrower envelope.

I was always curious as to why an E-2/C-2 based tanker was never explored. I mean, slap a few plumbed hard points on the wings, stick a pair of buddy pods and a few tanks, and you've got yourself an carrierborne AWACs that doubles as a tanker with way more loiter time than a Rhino and -the Navy will love this, no new

That's a dead Hornet...

It's the Top Gear method, throw men and money at it. Except you know without the whole "ambitious but rubbish" bit.

I've posted this before so I'll just repost it...

The Lavi is based off the F-16, and from a design standpoint, the J-10 borrows more from the F-16 than the Lavi, save for the cranked arrow wing, which is pretty F-16XL.

Oxygen supply in case boat flips and leaks. Which I'm sure happens quite often...both the crashing and flipping.

That long hood...finally an Audi where the engine isn't hanging off the front end?

Because cavitation, and therefore noise?

Exactly, if Nico wins Abu Dhabi, and Lewis comes second, the double points gives Nico 32 points over second place, which is exactly 1 more than the 31 gap between the pair of them.

Exactly why USN should of gotten something other than a fatter F/A-18C.

$3.33 regular, Queens New York.

120 knots @ nearly 40* Alpha at 13,000 feet...

Missing the Fighter Flings of years past.

Wow I can see straight through the engine, past all the turbine blades.

Darn, I was hoping to hear the follow up with O'Hare ground....
