My apologies. I think I misread your reply as snark when it looks like upon rereading it, perhaps it wasn’t. I cannot edit or delete my reply so I hope an apology will suffice.

Perhaps. Maybe you could take your case to all the paleoanthropologists, and tell them to stop using the word so very often in their field notes, books, and research papers when they are describing cave art and carvings. They’ve clearly been using the word wrong all these many years and simply need a smart person like…
Perhaps they were referring to the way paleoanthropology uses anthropometry when studying relics such as this. I think the term also gets used when saying an object has physical human characteristics. These are objects, and they do have physical human characteristics.

I don’t think this requires the use of geothermal ground wells does it? Almost all heat pumps simply exchange heat with the ambient air don’t they?
Thanks for the responses! Phage Therapy sounds both exciting and scary. If I understand it after a quick google, it’s creating a virus to stymie a bacteria, but I’m unclear on how it’s created and what prevents it from getting out of hand. Very interesting.
Are we able to synthesize antibiotics or are they just chemicals we randomly throw together until something works? I am wondering if it’s possible to create a yearly changing antibiotic similar to the way flu vaccines are updated each year? I am assuming current antibiotics are kind of broad spectrum. But is there fru…

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve not heard it called that, but I like it! And can assure everyone it is still very much a respected tradition well past the antebellum, and hopefully, its other more repugnant traditions.
As a southerner steeped in the tradition of drawled backhanded compliments and innocently polite insults, I salute your cruel and savage agreement.
The primary reason we’ve been trying to tidy up our food areas is so that we’ll actually use stuff. If it’s hidden, it’s forgotten, and then expired and tossed. Our organization efforts aren’t for esthetics, it’s to reduce waste and support a more varied diet.
I don’t know about Amazon, but in my old line of work (aerospace), management went through a lot of anti-union indoctrination training whenever voting on unions was a danger. This included all the reasons unions are evil, along with how to make sure you subtly denigrate unions at every possible turn. So: there was no…
I am very surprised by how close the Alabama vote was this time. Alabama county and city governments have walked away from offers to locate manufacturing facilities there, simply because they would be unionized, thus threatening all the cheap non-union work in the area. It’s a very anti-union state.
Out of curiosity, i…
I hear it makes a gin and tonic taste amazing.
I hate this idea.

This is great and I hope it helps people gain access to cheaper credit. However, the fact that the cost of medical care in the US is expensive, punitive, and cruel remains largely unaddressed.
No doubt. These little diddies we grew up with remind me of sea shanties, which are ever modifiable.
Yes the old coral vs king coral snake fear mongering. Both so rare and shy it’s kind of a silly fear. I used to catch snakes to sell to zoos and research labs when I was a kid. In all that time, I saw one king coral and zero coral snakes in the wild. (The rest of the rhyme is “red on black you can scratch his back”.)
Mine was far too big to begin with. I do what I can to keep humanity safe. You’re welcome.
