And after heating, the rocks must be allowed to carefully cool down before being used or worked on.

It’s 2020, so it’s just a matter of time before these reptiles reemerge, start eating the locals, and leaving new bloody footprints everywhere.

Good riddance. We’ve bought two Toshiba products over the years. They were both terrible, and the support was criminal (they charged my daughter $160 to tell her they wouldn’t help her.) So we’ve been Toshiba-free for quite some time. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for their reputation to catch up with them.

They used to make the doodle-dome which was a globe-based thing. Its best feature was that you could lift the needle up so it would stop drawing. I was running an animation studio and was given one by our VP after I submitted a budget request for better equipment

I was thinking along similar lines. It’s mostly big barns/rooms full of barrels sitting around for years. I suppose places like Jack Daniel’s could change the way they make their own charcoal, which involves burning a lot of wood to heat the wood being charred, but everything else is pretty much letting nature take

So all that time spent in the red light district was for my health?

Texas flora... Perhaps he mistakenly thought this was a Live Oak tree and it was Water Oak instead? Live Oaks have super strong limbs. I’ve hoisted many cars using smaller branches, and they are what the USS Constitution is made of after all. I can’t tell from the photos, but I suspect this was actually a Water Oak

None of them mentioned dogs. I’ve had dogs that appear to have planned out revenge scenarios. One knew it was not allowed to rear up and put her front paws onto the kitchen counter. But if left alone for too long, she would clearly purposely do so, take one cooking utensil down, and leave it by the front door without

I think the C looks like the 1968 Olympic Black Power Salute?

It is in keeping with this ad from a few years ago:

We went to the western entrance of Rocky Mountain NP the day they started reopening a couple of weeks ago. It was grand because no one was there, quite literally. It was my family, the moose, elk, coyotes, marmots, etc.  I don’t know what the solution to plastic in the environment is, but that place without people is

People are saying that her patronus has recently been passing out its updated resume

As always, Charctic is a good way to watch the drama of the impact on sea ice unfold:

This does sound troubling. I suspect someone can develop a hack easily enough to work around it, but getting such a thing into general use would be tough.

Just for fun, in space science, liquid fuel rockets are engines, and solid fuel rockets are motors. The distinction is based upon the idea that liquid fuel rockets require moving parts (pumps, etc.), while the solids do not.

So you made me go look.  They’ve had it in the can at least since last week, which was apparently November 13, 2017.

I’m actually okay with this. I wouldn’t mind having a valet myself. However, I’d want someone that is better at their job than whoever is helping Trump put all those baggy featureless togs on.

After your comment, I had to look the word up. Maybe he’s just a big fan of Oscar Peterson? I know I am! (The other Peterson sounds like an ass though.)

Agree with most of your screed against the US covering things up and silencing doctors and the media, but COVID didn’t originate here.
