Well, street legal in 1 country is still technically “street legal”.

New body work = minimal... however... those tailights... BLagH!... those wheels!... BlagH!
Now those changes are awful. One of those moments when the designers should have fought back w/ the engineers. Like, really? is a smooth wheel going to cause THAT much of an improvement in performance?
Glad you mentioned an MGB, they don’t get much love. I’ve actually taken my German Shepherd on a ride in one before, it was great.
Those things are slow, but winding out the engine and the sheer scale of it makes it super fun.
I want one... just too poor. My mom was debating one, but the worries about unreliability are what’s stopping. I could see A LOT of others doing the same. No one wants to spend 45k+ on a base model if it’s going to be broken the entire time.
REBATES! Ford has a ton of them. I got 5k off my focus st’s msrp for working for a college, and my wife for taking classes online. I remember if I was in ever in the military it was like another 4k off and there were more.
1 thing I think is hilarious is the price. If you’re buying a brand new car in this price range, the $3-4k “difference” in price isn’t going to do anything substantial to your payments. Maybe 5-15 bucks a month for a standard loan. So I think bragging about it being just a touch cheaper is the worst concept ever. Just…
I find my ST’s transmission fairly nice. Probably the best manual transmission i’ve driven (worst was a scat pack challenger... felt like the shifter was going to snap going from gear to gear... SCARY!)
As far as the power difference, for the price difference between the 2 cars, you could easily get your ST above…
It’d kill collectability, but!!! Take it to a custom shop, have them convert that middle seat and add a seatbelt, and BOOM! problem solved!
I am sooo glad you gave this an honest review. I read autoblog’s review on this and it looked like something paid for out of hondas pocket. I understand it’s a good car, that’s fine, but hearing the small annoyances brings PROOF to your review. Really, those are the things buyers will want to know! the stupid vents,…
Exactly, I was brought into a small random focus group by a television company to judge weather this show would stay or go off the air. Basically you sat there and watched 2 episodes, and answered their questions after each. It was tough, but I couldn’t help feel bad for the actors etc.. it’s like their job, and i’m a…
Yep, I remember when i went to Rome, in some areas its absolutely bonkers!... What I would do is find a nun, and think... they’re not going to hit a nun! Right? so i’d stay as close to them as possible, hahah.
Used to have one, I loved it in every way. even the cheap interior... Only thing I say they NEED, is a new pair of good seats. Maybe I’ll have another one in the future...
EXACTLY!!!
I don’t know how many time’s i’m looking for a great future buy (i’m a dad and hoping to one day have a fun car again) and then it’s mentioned here... thanks for killing my dreams... Happened w/ a few cars in the past already (they will remain nameless as for further attention being brought to them)... They…
I highly doubt that... Dodge currently has way too many variations of these cars on the market as it is. There’s the v6, the rt with a v8, the scat pack with the 392, the hellcat, and the demon... all with very different engine variations. Any additional models/versions would SERIOUSLY be overkill and just be flushing…
For how OVERHYPED this has been, 840 is... too low... When you have a hellcat that already produces 707, and you hype this up for the end of time... you kind of expect a “great deal more”... especially since the hellcat was 707 vs the 485 of the scat pack model. Since day 1, “rumors” and info floating around were all…
My wife has a CVT Sentra too, I actually think it’s a good little car. Not exciting in any way, but overall not terrible. Likewise, it’s been super reliable. 100k miles and literally NOTHING has gone wrong or needed replacing. Just standard maintenance... it could be worse.
1 car I did hate however was my ex’s v6 96…
Focus ST (2015+) the body is a bit more aggressive than the previous generation. Also, it won’t break the bank, you can find a new or used one’s in the low 20s. It’s a super fun car. I went from DDing a z06 corvette, to this, and honestly, i love it. It’s a great little car. has enough “oomph” to make you smile,…
I wonder if millennials speak with their parents about these things? I know I did when I was making any important decision in my life. Now I’m glad that I followed their advice of buying a 2nd car when I was in college. I had a sports car, didn’t need another one. Especially with college and life etc... It’s a prime…
That last paragraph is like car loan “gold”
I bet this would be a blast. My dad collects MGB’s has 6 of em, all in different levels of modification. I have to say every single one of them puts a HUGE smile on your face, even the basic stock / restored. I’d snatch this up in a heartbeat if it was a B (even with the certainty of a bit extra work) finding these in…
