Hey, I was the proofreader for that game! This game is phenomenal, and, if you frequently have only one person to play a big game with, it should be an auto-buy at this price.

I love rice cookers and all, but this reads a lot more like a “Why you should totally own a rice cooker” article.
I’ve used this a few times to great success. Substantially easier and quicker for those fifteen minutes, once-in-a-while sorts of things. It just installed a few of the necessary components to do a fair amount of stuff. I tend to have fewer issues trying to get it up and running, too.
Actually, if you have the right tools, you can replace the save on nearly any cartridge without losing the save. A Retron 5 can dump the saves and push them back on the cart, or you can actually perform the swap while the game is in the system.
Be cautious if any of those cartridges use batteries for saves. A majority of them are dying off around now.
That wouldn’t be a bad move! I personally can’t vouch for it, but it might be worth looking into RetrOrange Pi. The Orange Pi has some better specifications that the Raspberry Pi, but uses a different architecture, so it isn’t compatible with most stuff compiled for Raspberry Pi. RetrOrange Pi is a ported Retropi for…
You’re right! They’re totally based on the same software, and, really, the experience is pretty similar. I’ve definitely encountered more varied problems with Retropie, though, and, as another addition, I think that Recalbox looks a bit better out-of-the-box.
I highly recommend that anyone interested in doing this process also check out Recalbox. It’s not as feature rich and the community isn’t as active, but I’ve found it to be a bit easier to set up. I’ve built a few of these diy retro-game systems, and Recalbox tends to be much less problem-prone. I still think Retropie…
I can confirm that most n64 titles (that I’ve played— ~30) work very well on the Pi3, which can also be lightly overclocked to work out a majority of bugs you run into.
You should check out some Pokemon ROM hacks. There are some that do essentially exactly what you’re talking about.
How is that sexist? Look at the products in the box. It quite literally looks like it has more expensive stuff in it.

I can’t, for the life of me, post comments on this site on my Moto X, using chrome. Every time I try, it has a meltdown. I’ve done everything to try to fix it, but, alas, nothing solves the issue.
He apparently doesn't know he can hop on the map's waves, though, which would be giving him a good boost.
Some vegetarians won't eat eggs, but a large amount do. And I suppose I can see where you are coming from with generalizations, but I don't really agree. Most vegetarians that I've talked to don't believe that the killing of animals for the sake of food is unethical, but rather that the mass production of meats is…
Well that's negative... What have they ever done to you? Abstain from eating certain foods that you eat? That's like saying people with food allergies should all just up and die, as well. Just because vegetarians largely choose such a lifestyle choice as an option rather than through necessity, it doesn't mean their…
Except vegetarians, maybe?
Just remember, if any of you are looking to make this, that this wouldn't be considered vegetarian by most vegetarians. If that wasn't obvious, which it should have been. Both marshmallows and jello aren't vegetarian.
Me too. I live in a "bay area", as well, but I doubt this "Bay Area" is in Wisconsin.
Yep! Every Android phone/ROM I have used has had a voice recorder; iOS obviously has a standard one, as well. Sometimes it is embedded in the notes application, sometimes not. It really changes with whatever ROM I've used, but it is indeed standard. Not to mention the multitudes that I am sure are in the respective…
