Laws should be changed so that if there’s a death it’s automatically a jury trial.

The country of Georgia did it at one point. Fired every police officer and started from scratch.

I have a friend who’s deaf and would hate for the police to get that jumpy just because he couldn’t hear them. Thank god we live in Canada and our cops are better. Marginally so, but still better.

What fucking reason is there for the police to draw their weapons on the man? He didn’t obey them immediately?

I’ll settle for them drawing tasers instead of handguns when dealing with a potential physical threat.

Bonus Fact: Stepping backward can be done multiple times providing lots of time to consider ones options.

The vast majority of people in this world don’t have the personality needed to hit these crazy ass numbers.

He could definitely work on Wall Street. The guy that runs the hot dog stand on the corner also works on Wall Street.

Outside of elitist employers like those on Wall Street nobody gives a shit what school you went to. I went to a community college and earn the same as my peers that went to the best school in western Canada.

Nothing is precluding me from making that eventually. I’m not far into my career yet so I make a wage somewhere between “I’m eating ramen again” and “woohoo! money money money!”

Most managers and supervisors are exempt-so those people :)

Yes, those types of people are definitely not classified as “normal.”

Again, where is this place that has so many exempt employees? Where I live, pretty much only salaried employees and emergency services don’t qualify for overtime.

Unless you’re in an industry where they have to pay you overtime and so they try to limit your hours.

Those people are extreme outliers. To normal people, even normal people who love money, $250k a year is a lot.

I’ve never yet met a car salesman who made more than $250K / year or so
