$60 game plus $40 in car packs, wait two years, rinse and repeat. Except now they have porsche but no toyota. Wait until they release their $20 “toyota car pack” to bring the grand total price of the game to $120. Nice racket they have, sad to see this as the state of the industry.

Demolition derby? How about spec diesel touring car race series? Lots of race day spares.

I always wanted to know, on cars with electronic parking brakes if you could engage them while in motion. Especially since they are often times innocuous looking “window switches”. So, driving in a rental ford fusion on a dirt road (GPS said it was a short cut), about 30mph I pulled up that little electric switch as

Your thought process went a whole lot like mine. Except my tow vehicle needed to be my daily driver too, because having a race car and a “nice day only” convertible and not enough room meant I had to combine usefulness of my third vehicle. I wanted to be able to tow my MR2 to races as it gets more modified and less

Wait, so changing the ride height with stiffer suspension made living with the vehicle unbearable and actually decreased performance? Stancebros and Liftbro’s unite!

That’s fine. Call it 300 feet. You calculated the distance driven (308ft), not the straight line sight distance. The driven distance is longer than the site distance, because a straight line is always shorter than a curved line, so, there wasn’t 300ft of visibility. Also due care was not considered.

No thank you. I missed the part where 308 feet was greater than 500 ft:

Your little friend in the miata broke the law by *not* honking (see 55-8-136). You said use google, so here you go, here’s your friends violations among many.

I see you’re quoting the law here. Did you miss the law where it’s illegal to drive in excess of the speed limit and to cross a double yellow line to pass a vehicle? But yeah, that egregious use of the horn.

So that’s where gran turismo gets all of their engine noises from...

That’s what I don’t get... There’s a terrific wall right there. Hyuge wall, beautiful wall, impenetrable wall, and this kid decides to stand in front of it? Darwin almost had his time to shine.

Going there on friday or saturday! Then going to AutoBac’s down the street. My exposure to car culture in japan will be rather small unfortunately, so megaweb, autobac’s, and fun2drive in hakone will have to suffice.

It’s a good thing he wore his brown suit.

Very timely article. I will be in tokyo from april 21 to april 24 and really wanted to go to Daikoku. I had heard they do early morning meet ups as well on saturdays. Seems like a friday night would be more intense than saturday morning. Do you have a preference?

Also, I don’t plan on renting a car while there and will

I agree. I love my manual gs. Incredible value for the money. My futurama sticker sums up my thoughts.

this was my thought when I saw the pictures. I really wanted to see the two door genesis coupe/BRZ/miata fighter. While the production car looks nice, its a terrible translation of the concept.

I enjoyed the episode the other day, and at the part about the charger needing an adapter, I elbowed my apple loving girlfriend and said “this is what happens when apple makes cars.” All I could think of was all the suckers with 30 pin ipod connectors in their cars and stereo docks.

The music at the end is what really puts the video over the top.

loved this game. I loved that you had limited water to cool the brakes, so if you raced hard and fast, you’d eat up the water quickly. I’m sure it doesn’t stand up to the test of time, but it was fun years ago!

I spoke with Rut at the toyota GP last year. He says one of his dream cars for the show is an Isuzu Vehicross, and every time he pitches it, it’s turned down. Too bad, would’ve been awesome to see him drive one for this episode!
