You read my mind. I was still thinking about this article this morning while in the shower and thought to myself "about as scientific as dowsing rods."

I don't think it's so much the game that people think is terrible as it is the stereotypical player of said game. i.e. "dude-bros" and obnoxious children. And usually the people that classify themselves as "hardcore gamers" belong to one, if not both, of those groups.
