It’s a 916 2L twinspark. The interior is awful and the chassis feels like it’s made from cheese, but I like the look of them, roof-down driving on a nice day is the best, and the engine is the best naturally aspirated 2L I4 I’ve ever driven. Actually, I kind of miss those days - I find the small-displacement turbos in

Yeah real “petrol-heads” never ask other people for advice, ever

I used to live in Australia. I would pine after a 3.0 V6 in blue, but they were (almost?) all automatics there. I did, however, get a 90's AR Spider instead. Now I’m in Denmark, where people don’t buy nice cars :-(

?!?! He is in his early 20s?!?!

Yep! Their Multijet diesels also seem to belong to the same family, as well...

The engines belonged to the same modular family. The Coupe, in its later years, used the 5 cylinder version, while the Alfas used the Twin Spark version (2 spark-plugs per cylinder).

I wouldn’t call it beautiful, but it’s probably the most attractive of Bangle’s (production car) designs. And it definitely falls under the “interesting” and “distinctive” category without treading (or going way over) the line of ugly like some of his early BMW works.

Look at all the heinous stuff America had in the 90's in this segment. Seeing this in Gran Turismo was a breath of fresh air.

When it was released, while the exterior was obviously the biggest point of attention, it was the interior with its big bold stripe of body color that wowed me. At that time, NOTHING had anything that bright and interesting in interiors...the closest you’d get was a wood dash. I started trying to figure out how to

Inline 5 Turbo though. So, good car (even if the maintenance is a b*tch).

WTF kinda penises have you been exposed to?

Wait a minute, I thought long penises were preferred? Can we get a woman’s opinion on this?

the SLC is what killed the SLC. Customers spoke when it what the SLK vs. Z3 and have never looked back. they wanted sporty. The SLC/SLK never competed, and don’t get me going when it comes to the Boxster/Cayman. When the Z3 became the GT of the Z4 and especially the 2nd gen Z4, you saw it’s sales plumment as well. If

This is an interesting spin on and interpretation of the phrase, but very likely not the original phrase. The earliest known use of this phrase idiomatically is the German “ouch hoerich sagen, das suppebluot von wazzer niht verdirbet” (“I also hear it said, kin-blood is not spoiled by water”) which appears in Reynard

Wool interior, you say?

Corrugated body for the win! Surely inspired by the Junkers Ju-52 aircraft. Pity that the plane became mostly famous for carrying Adolf during his election campaigns.

Sad to have such a fantastic idea then restrict the production to only 70. But hey, that’s 70 more than Volkswagen’s had the brains/balls to make.

Too bad they are making only 70, this should be mass-produced. 3D printing anyone?

Yeah, this is the one I was thinking of. I was riding a bus to Paris on a tour a few years ago and the guide made specific mention when we got to Place de la Concorde that the drivers inside the roundabout must yield to drivers entering. Very bizarre!

The Place de l’Etoile which you’re referring to is the most famous, but also probably one of the last, French roundabouts where you yield to entering traffic. Almost all others have become normal roundabouts.
