So the drivers head in its pink helmet is going to look like a clitoris. Let’s hope that if they crash the marshalls can find them.

In my preparation for the 2017 season, I ran into a problem.
Subaru Fanboi Blue? Surely you jest. That’s French Racing Blue.
Blue has been used to represent French cars long before the parents of Subaru fanbois were conceived.
You can’t blame Renault for the US 25 year import ban rule, France doesn’t have a rule like that. Another issue is the ‘not invented here’ philosophy combined with huge (financial) barriers the US employs that keeps the market mostly clear of low profit imports.
Yes. I do not know the extense of the differences, but it seems it was a bigger engine and rear design to accomodate such engine.
The 4C starts at $55,900 in the US. At that rate, a loaded A110 would be about $51,500 US.
Not my fault. Back in 1992 I drove a 1984 Le Car and recently my therapist said I’m actually doing better and may be off my meds in another 5 years. Baby steps but progress none the less.
I think the US got the original A106, A108, and A110 in small numbers. I’m fairly certain we missed the A310 altogether. And the GTA was Federalized and was sold in the US in 1988. Only a dozen came over, though.
Actually, a whole 12 were imported to the US in 1988. They had a unique Federalized front end with flip-up headlight doors, which wouldn’t appear in Europe until the A610 reskin 3 years later.
It was produced in Brazil as well, as the Willys Interlagos. I know at least one was for sale in the US (Texas):
“Why don’t we get nice things like this here?! Of course we’ll buy them!”
All we need to do get the A110 here in the US is cause a 738% spike in Alfa Romeo 4C sales, since they’re very similar in dimensions/power/etc. That will prove to Renault there’s a viable business case for such a car!
Kind of. It’s my shop, where clearly we have a double chevron affliction. Nice article by the way!
Perhaps if I start a thread that would happen if it did come here, it will be said and done, and they might reconsider. Let’s see:
Cee-tro-en or thereabouts.
Wha??? But the 4c’s sales have been so stellar in the States
Well, we’d get it, and then we’d complain it’s not bigger, and that it’s too noisy, and that it’s not powerful enough for the money, and then we’d all go out and buy 2 ton v8 Mustangs like we always fucking do.
diaeresis
Well, I’ve got 25 years to start saving!
