Zelda is about finding a magical bottle in a narrow tunnel underneath the local blacksmith's idyllic village home. Adding 'scope' by throwing in a bunch of faceless NPCs and superfluous details would probably do little to improve the game.

Because if we should judge humans on anything, it's their ability to have ideal genetic and developmental characteristics for performing a variety of motor tasks. (Such as shooting a basketball through an elevated hoop, which requires no memorization whatsoever.)

The most famous example might be Microsoft's attempts to crush Netscape Navigator back in the '90s (in general, this strategy is the reason why IE used silly 'ActiveX' controls rather than cross-compatible W3C stuff).

This is what I think their plan is.

Ever heard of "Embrace, extend, extinguish"?

Wouldn't the problem be that they had entirely too much bubblegum?

Otherwise known as "100% done".

I think they're just trying to establish "The" Kinect SDK so they can exploit its critical mass in the future by charging for it in some way.

Isn't that just pollution?

Last Tuesday a friend and I were up 14-4 on someone, and he still didn't leave. I don't actually run into ragequitters too often on NHL 11; seems like most people want to keep their DNF low.

Unless it was a playoff game.

You do. The quitter also raises his DNF % by leaving early, which provides some incentive to tough it out.

I mean, what kind of morons sell hardware at a profit?

Oh, fictional schoolgirls. Will you ever learn to untie knots?

In case your cousin is hogging Scarface: The World is Yours.

I'm sure they spent at least $20 million developing this game.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the video RAM specs; if you have a GTX 260, you meet recommended spec.

I actually think that commercial is pretty slick.

What a competitor.
