I’m with you, and I haven’t played since early SEason 4, mostly because I’ve been heavily invested with my limited gaming time in ME:A.

This advice may be somewhat hero dependent, favoring Offense heroes, but something that really helped me, and facilitated my climb to diamond last season, was befriending higher ranked players that will 1v1 with you. I have a few Master/GM friends on my list (mostly genjis) who I will spend some time with in custom…
I have had the same experience. Started in Gold 1st season. Now I’m bronze and can’t seem to change that.
I got alchemized from Gold by their shifting statistics, too. But hey, Bronze makes a better weapon, and Diamonds shatter too easily.
My self-imposed rule for competitive matches in all videogames I play (so basically Overwatch and Rocket League) is to quit playing competitive mode after two successive losses; and try again the next day. This typically prevents big backslides.
Big piece of advice that’s stuck with me from the time I spent with my coach was to not hunker down for a night of grinding. Play a handful of matches. 2-4 tops and just make progress over the season.
“There” “Were” “others” “games?”
Just grabbed mine! Let’s play!
I did the same... in comp... totally won all of them.
i wonder if like real overwatch, you will open it up expecting some interesting skins and just get sprays instead
oh! I hope you enjoy it. I’d be happy to hear your thoughts on it and discuss in the future!
That new mode AND the new mystery 1v1 duel mode are absolutely incredible. Much more strategic, and the new overtime mechanic where a capture point spawns is really smart, too.
As great as the dances are in the game, I think the best addition made has been the Lockout Elimination mode in the Arcade. 2 of my friends and I played that mode for 2 straight hours and completed the weekly loot box earnings and even when we lost, we never got salty. In the regular Elimination mode, it would usually…
The Lucio skin changes up his songs that play though! That’s pretty cool. My Lucio-main buddy is pumped for it.
Deadspin has had some good coverage on all of this.
FIFA Street was really good, too, if a little repetitive. Never played the sequel, but I enjoyed the first one.
Supposedly those things are already announced to be fixed in a future big patch. Question is how much of the load time can they shave? If they can get it down to 20 seconds or less I’ll pick it up.
Comp is where you get the most hate for sure. It’s also where the most people talk. I know what you mean though. Last time I played Comp I was Healing as Mercy. Our team was trash and I would rush back to the point only to see corpses and quickly be murdered. So I switched to a DPS halfway through. Some loser…
Was just saying that to a friend tonight. My top 4 characters played:
1. Reins
2. Mercy
3. Lucio
4. Pharah
Even with Pharah I find myself “Squish-Tanking” where we’re stuck at a choke point and I just keep flying over to peel the other team off the choke point so we can capture.
I don’t know if you feel the same way but I…
I’m jealous. We were the 5th team done on the Saturday night event and we got diddly squat except for a pencil one of us accidentally left with.
