In the original thief games I used to use fire arrows to kill zombies when they started massing.

This reminds me of the crashes which I saw happen in GTA San Andreas. One car would rear end another, and before you knew it, there was a week long traffic jam with fresh accidents happening all the time and one one occasion there was a mass shootout between police some drivers.
