I have no questions that a delusional maniac who erases history can answer, beyond "how can you honestly believe the bullshit you spout?"

I'm saying that if you ban guns, criminals start using knives, and then the slippery slope appears.

I'm ashamed to be human sometimes. Holy crap.

*slow clap* You're my hero.

Text-to-911 is slowly rolling out, but until then the next best thing is to text multiple friends/family members with your location and details about the situation and have them call 911 to report it. Afterwards, there's a few options for what to do next. The best thing to do in that scenario is to wait and see if you

Oh my god, you're seriously teaching people those lies? Wow, I weep for the future of this country.

This is very true. As much as I'm against Obamacare (I'm not necessarily against government-provided healthcare but this bill is not the way to do it) even I can see that there's a number of reasons why the Republicans are fucking idiots for going after it now, including the 2014 elections, though in a perfect world

Oh wait, I misread your comment. I thought it said "The Republicans today are protesting economic recovery programmes, the likes of which got us into of the Great Depression", which would have been completely accurate. What got us out of the Great Depression was a tiny little war sparked by a guy with a weird mustache

Pretty much. It's a no-win scenario.

For the most part, yes. I think that since this bill is the only legacy this administration has, going after it instead of other programs is a bad idea, but if it were for any other bill, I'd be in agreement with the shutdown.

But...it's a good song.

I think you slightly misunderstood me. I agree that the concept of a debt ceiling is stupid and that having one is pointless if you decide to drive the country into debt, but I'm saying that the nation shouldn't have a national debt in the first place, and that this mess we're in has been a long time coming.

The Supreme Court upholding it was pretty hilarious though, because it was lawful for all the wrong reasons, putting the blame back in the Democrat's court.

He should also give a shit about the fact that the money he's being paid with is on loan from other countries, who will call that debt back when it suits them.

If the government didn't exist, he'd just have tried to find a job elsewhere way back then. He's stuck now.

I always point to the fact that several members of the Joint Chiefs have stated that the amount of pork attached to defense spending has got to stop. Bad, overly expensive equipment bloats the defense budget when the same wars could be fought and one without the equipment in the first place.

It's happened 17 times across 5 presidencies. It's not yet broken the country, and I doubt it will this time either.

It's impressive that you managed to say something intelligent here and yet every other comment of yours on this article is full of complete bullshit.

There shouldn't be a debt limit in the first place. How hard is that to understand? This country has been wallowing in debt for over 100 years now, and nobody can seem to figure out why that's a problem? History's repeating itself.
