Very interesting. I would love to see this on a player-by-player comparison. To see the participants pre/post Olympic stats and compare it to the years surrounding the Olympic yr. Theres no "meet in the middle". He's right and you're incorrect. Its a sport that can be coached, thus having the superior athletes to begin with would give them the leg up. There are many other sports where this argument would be false... rowing, is not one of them.
