A good tip I learned from my parents (FWIW, I'm Asian) on cooking dumplings, is the fry/boil/steam method.
Im confused too. I couldve sworn Dallas opened +3 prior to Romo's injury announcement.
And if I am the Mavs stat guy, id tell you that you are passing the right amount.
But this chart shows that the Spurs average the same amount of touches/possession as the Bulls, but score at a much higher rate. All my point is that #of passes mean nothing. Its the quality of passes, which this article and chart doesnt show. Theres teams who pass very little and score efficiently (GSW), theres teams…
That is essentially my point. Its the quality of passes, not # of passes.
No, read my response to Kyle. I do think some stats are very effective. For example, points/possession truly tells how efficient an offense is. Also, i believe shot efficiency chart does show where a person or team is the most effective and which shots they should improve on. My feelings are that were starting to get…
Wrong. I never said ball movement is good or bad. I think ultimately shot selection is what determines a good/bad offense. It can take 0 passes (isolation) or 10 passes, but where you shoot will determine your offense's efficiency. Is that so hard to comprehend for you?
Exactly.... Thats my point in all this ranting.
Actually, you are incorrect. As the blue and purple show opposites. There is no correlation between touches and efficiency. Some touch more and are efficient, and some are not. Some have less touches and are more efficient. Theres no negative or positive correlation.
The direction I took, is that the more stats people keep pushing down our throats the more it clouds people's judgement on which stats are actually meaningful. Ultimately this article proves that ball movement is just ball movement. But stats can't really show the true of impact of ball movement - creating mismatches…
As long as the "Blue" and "Purple" teams exist, then it makes this stat meaningless (no correlation regarding passes=points). I believe the highest scoring-teams also take the most efficient shots per game. Stats like these are the reason people become "anti-stats", this chart proves nothing.
Winston not a victim because hes not charged???... As of now, he was accused of rape that was covered nationally. Im pretty sure being falsely accused of rape, would suck as people like you (and the writer) will always think otherwise.
I agree, however in some circumstances a "form tackle" isn't going to do much. In this case, TJ Ward (5'10" 200) trying to tackle Gronks (6'5" 265) running full speed, will probably result in a broken tackle or a Ward injury and Gronks running free down the middle. Ward taking out the legs is what smaller players…
Can we have Greg Howard do the soccer segments? So we dont have a writer not know what this means (clearly we are fucked), when its so obvious.
Yes, like injuries... In which this case it is not. Bet trends are the major driving force behind line movements. If 75% of the bets are coming in on Denver, why would the books lower the spread? The books ultimate goal is to get 50/50 on both sides and cash on the vig.
Please explain how these work... Denver opened -12.5, dropped to -12 (meaning bets came in for Tenn +12.5)... So how is Denver's -12 magnified?
Im surprised Jimmy's 2011 season not one of the top 15s. He had a line of 99/1310/11.
Well if you look deeper into those games...
And yet thru all this 99% of the world is more ecstatic than ever. Stop being so selfish.
