People are weird. They almost always think things are either far safer than they really are, or far more dangerous.

The funny thing is, our nation is still overwhelmingly a moderate nation. Note that both Presidential candidates were moderates, with more things in common than things that set them apart.

I'm pretty sure they are fat because they consume more calories than they burn. That's why I'm fat, IDK why it would be any different for them.

There is an excellent chance that China will not ever make it to superpower status, as they could very easily implode first. Their entire hyper-development scheme is a desperate attempt to outrun the social, demographic, and environmental crises that will surely doom them if they can't develop fast enough.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. It is mostly a domestic policy issue, and the parts of it that become international policy generally only apply to the 3rd World so you are safe from it in the UK.

The extremely simple life is certainly very free, and it does make travel much, much easier. You don't really have to stop traveling until you want to, at all. It sounds like your job actually helps you travel too, which is awesome. Travel is one of the very best things - it's one of the primary reasons I love cars

I'm pretty sure the '38 does not even distantly qualify as "secret" history. I don't know for sure about the rest of New England, but everybody I've ever met in Rhode Island was raised on stories about it.

For a great deal of the past (and some of the right now) being fat = being rich, and was seen as a good thing.
