That's why I wish I could've done things differently, though. Because the first man I had sex with was very real, and so were the risks and consequences. I was completely safe with the second one, the virtual one. Playing as a character, being another person, I could have very easily gotten up and left the avatar at

I probably shouldn't even say anything, but I'm going to risk it:

"There was also something which we had before when we showed it off at the VGXs," Murray said. "People would often say—I showed other developer friends—and they told us we shouldn't show at the VGXs and they would say, 'I like this but I don't think people will generally like this. This is not really the general style

On 2ch, Japan's largest forum, people were bewildered by the photos. "What happened?" asked on 2ch commenter. "Is this a cult?" asked another. "Why are the males okay?" 2ch sleuths were able to track down this alleged student:

I've heard about warp drives etc now, but it's surprising to see that it was only a couple of years ago that I didn't know anything about them at all.

Whoever made that video is a stupid fuck. I love how they've used Notepad++ and a command prompt because they think that it makes them look super l337h4x0r!!!omg!!!

I find it very hard to believe you really work in the games industry, in any meaningful way, when you've never heard of code hacked together for E3 that is commented as such.

Yeah, the modders are so much better for turning on a few settings that actual developers made...

"And those fears you would have had in years gone by of competitive advantage and what if someone else sees what you're doing and will they build it quicker? At the end of the day if we build a great game, it doesn't matter."

Yes, although I'm glad they didn't bother with the buzzwords and have instead just stated what it is at its core: maintaining a shippable product throughout the development process.

I am by no means an expert at programming shaders, and the lack of context provided by your image doesn't help at all, but that looks a hell of a lot like the upper block of the if statement is having an optimization applied to it.

It's not a lot of value, let's be honest. It costs essentially nothing to make let's play videos, and if it was Nintendo producing let's plays of the typical quality people would say "What the hell is this worthless shit? Nintendo, we expect better".

I think we're just interpreting things differently.

"True to a point, but I'm basing what I'm saying off of comments other developers have made on the situation, ie: adding in woman would probably only be a few days of extra work (I'm sure you've seen the post)."

"Yeah, fuck that asshole using his position in the industry to educate and inform all of us, who are merely speculating what goes on in a developers studio!

I know who he is, I've read the other articles on this. I'm only bothering to call him an asshole because of who he is.

Exactly. I can't believe that asshole. He's using his position to misinform people and push the idea that making games is trivial. I hope he never releases a game missing a feature people wanted, because he's given everyone licence to grossly underestimate how much time it will take.

An issue like the AC5 one is only uprooting a bigger problem: misogyny in gaming. And as much as I don't want to believe it's that big of an issue, the comments tell me otherwise, as do the responses from developers.

Yes. Ubisoft really are sexist, and are intentionally shunning women from Assassin's Creed, and are using excuses about development costs to try to hide this conspiracy against women. The fact that they can produce other games with female playable characters just exposes this lie.

Some white males aren't getting uppity because the status quo is being challenged, they are getting uppity because of the irritating arguments that are being made around this.
