That's nice and all, but how is it feasible to put that kind of stuff in the game? It must be hard to implement stuff like that cloth movement and cutting, surely it would be better to just do something else with that time?

The purpose of a gun is to give the person using it the capability to instantly incapacitate someone, and probably kill them. Why you'd trust even a responsible child with that capability I don't know.

Totally agree on that tech demo. It's not like an AI becoming self-aware is a new concept, but the way they pulled off the emotions of it was excellent. Although the supervisor seems pretty reckless just letting the AI go like that

It would be crazy to jump straight into a "no used game" system. Most likely this will turn out to be something like all games come with a cd key or online pass like with EA games. To try and stop used games you'd have to ease into it with gradual changes, not suddenly discontinue it.
